Movement activities of school age kids, rating of hygiene of physical education on elementary schools
NOVOTNÁ, Jitka
In my Bachelor´s thesis I have investigated the locomotive activity in school children (ages 6-14) and I was trying to assess the hygiene of physical education in primary schools. I also evaluated the placing of PE-lessons within school schedules. I studied whether these children, who do a lot of sports, have a lower BMI, than children who spend their free-time passively. I also looked closer into the PE-lessons at primary schools and tried to assess if these children are subjected predominately to a static or dynamic load, and how much time is used for exercising. I carried out my academic research in České Budějovice, Český Krumlov and in Frymburk. In the theoretical part of the thesi,s I have examined the locomotive activity, children being overweight, illnesses and other related problems. I have described the history of scholastic physical education, dealt with the correct placement of physical education within school schedules and described how a correct PE-lesson should be conducted at school. Finally, I have described the hygienic demands upon school gymnasiums. For the first part of my research, I have used questionnaires that were distributed and filled out by primary school children. In the second part, entitled the Assessment of the Static and Dynamic Load in PE-Lessons, I have watched and assessed pupils in class. At the same time, I have also evaluated the placement of these lessons within school schedules. The results obtained from this research were compiled by using MS Excel. All three hypotheses were verified. Physical education lessons are, for the most par,t placed incorrectly within the school schedules. Those children, who exercise regularly, have lower BMI than those children who do not. Within the PE-lessons, the static load predominates over dynamic load.

Students of 1st and 2nd class of basic school - awareness of dog ethology.
PETŘÍKOVÁ, Šárka
ABSTRACT Nowadays, more and more often we hear about children who are attacked by dogs. The media constantly inform us about fighting breeds and their attacks on humans. Number of dogs in the household significantly increases and posibility of injury of the child by our four-legged partner is increasing too. This situation requires a solution. Media accused of assaulting an animal, unfortunately very often the culprit is not even a dog or child. Thesis on ?The awareness of pupils of first and second class ofthe first level of basic schools on the ethology of dogs ? is based on the author's practical experience with objective reality. The author herself, which is devoted to dogs more than 15 years, also tried to capture the degree of knowledge of school age children on the natural behavior of our four-legged domestic ?pets?. Through her own research, conducted by standardized questionnaires at selected basic schools in the South Bohemia region (in total 284 respondents) reveals the primary mistakes committed by these children in contact with their own or strange dog. The theoretical part is devoted to common cohabitation of children (or people) and dogs. Various chapters are focused on the historical evolution of domestic dog, the coexistence of humans and dogs, and communication sinals, which they use to interact among themselvest, but also on the impact of a dog on the psyche of the child. The research revealed significant gaps in knowledge regarding children's innate behavior of the dog. For this reason children can not adequately respond to a signal that is sent by a dog, so there can arise a hazardous situation between them. At the end of thesis the author proposes a practical solution that could serve as a basic for a new educational program aimed at preventiv injuries caused by dogs attack the children.

TROUPOVÁ, Miriam
The topic of this thesis is "Psychosocial effects of the use of mobile phones in children under the age of 12 years." Children in connection with the use of mobile phones are more vulnerable compared to adults regarding the unwilling behavior. Czech public (neither lay nor professional) has not paid sufficient attention to this issue so far. The aim of this work was to monitor attitudes of children to mobile phones, the manner and extent of their use. At last but not at least, it was also the aim to describe the position of mobile service providers to child customers. There was also a market analysis carried out to describe offers, products and services suitable for children. The first part of this thesis describes the current situation in the Czech Republic and is complemented with statistical data of the numbers of mobile phones in the Czech Republic. There are also specifics of children as users of mobile phones mentioned and the risks that are connected to the use of mobile phones, such as reliance on mobile or nomophobia, fears of loss of signal etc. In the following chapters objectives of the research are described, hypotheses and research methodology. The results are shown in graphical form. They are followed by the results of market analysis and expert observations on the issue, the methodology and the research itself. The last part of this thesis is the discussion on the methodology and research results. Research results are also compared and discussed in relation to the literature.

ŠESTÁK, Milan
Porovnání znalostí o prevenci dopravních úrazů u dětí na základních školách. Reconciliation of knowledge on primary school children traffic injury prevention Injuries of children remain to be general health-social problem. Children may get injured as pedestrians, cyclists or as car passengers. Traumatic situations have impact on families and relatives of victims, who need help. My work deals with issues which I face daily in my work environment. I have been working for Czech traffic police for 24 years. I am interested in traffic education, including prevention and education of school children. This was also subject of my bachelor work. My diploma work is focused on reconciliations of knowledge on primary school children traffic injury prevention in South Bohemia and analysis of preventive activities implementation (primary injury prevention in the area of traffic injuries) in monitored elementary schools. The reason why I have chosen this subject is that I have dealt with similar subject already in my bachelor work and I often face traffic injuries in my work life. That includes injuries of both adults and children. Quantitative research has been applied for the purpose of work objectives identification. In order to verify my hypothesis I have chosen data collection technique using questionnaire. Resulting answers of children have been assessed from 338 questionnaires which is an assessment allowing sample. Results for teachers were assessed from the sample of 11 questionnaires. Results have been shown in the individual charts which may be compared. Analysis of preventive activities implementation (primary injury prevention in the area of traffic injuries) in the monitored primary school form separate part of my work. Results of my work should contribute to better informedness of teachers, parents and children, improved education of teachers, parents and children as well as other involved parties. I put emphasis on deepening knowledge of children in areas unknown to them. Considering results of my research it is therefore important to keep improving informedness in the area of traffic injury prevention within the given age group. I know already now what I will focus on during my presentations, discussions and events associated with preventive traffic programs organized not only by the Czech Police, but also by other organizations. It is important to make all parts of our community involved in injury prevention.
