This study evaluated the breeding of family Ursidae especially in the zoos in the Czech Republic since 1984. The Yearbooks of the Union of Czech and Slovak Zoological Gardens have been published annually since the same year. Species Information System (ISIS) originated from February 2014 was used to compare the current number of bears in the Czech zoos and in other world zoos. Nowadays five species of bears, i.e. brown bear (Ursus arctos), polar bear (Ursus maritimus), sun bear (Helarctos malayanus), Asian black bear (Ursus thibetanus) and American black bear (Ursus americanus) are bred in the Czech Republic. In the past sloth bear (Melursus ursinus) was also bred. Bears are kept especially in the zoos (13), in seven moats, by two private owners and in circuses in the Czech Republic. The number of bears in private ownership and circuses is unknown. One hundred and thirty four bear cubs (i.e. 63 , 40 and 31 unknown sex) were born in the Czech Republic from 1984 to 2013. Its total survival was 53% (i.e. 71 cubs). The survival of male (67 %) and female (63 %) was comparable, while only 13 % of cubs with undetermined sex survived. The most cubs born were cubs of brown bear (69).

Remote sensing techniques are nowadays widely used next to classical in-situ measurements for studying properties of atmospheric boundary layer (ABL). Doppler SODAR (Sound Detection and Ranging) was introduced to skilled public for the first time around 1975 and today is used in routine investigations of thermal structure, turbulence and vertical mass movement in ABL. It is also used for estimation of mixing layer height and for continuous monitoring of wind speed and direction. Application of REMTECH Doppler SODAR PA2 system as a support tool for studying pollutant dispersion in ABL is demonstrated on model studies performed in urban and suburban areas with use of combined mobile detection system DIAL LIDAR 510M / SODAR PA2.

Aspects of social solidarity in the perception of young people
VANÍČKOVÁ, Adéla
This bachelor thesis deals with the attitude of the young generation to fulfil the principles of social solidarity in the Czech Republic. The main task is to record and map out the areas, where the marks of social solidarity appear, and to find out how the fulfilment is accepted by the young people. The first half of theoretical part is applied to characterization of social solidarity, its development and every single areas, where the principles are being fulfilled. The social solidarity plays an important role in the company and it is an import part of it. The solidarity is applied in the social security system, in health, education, living and family policy or is proceeding completelly out of public sector. The second part of theroretical part describes in greater detail possible ways of its implementation towards the certain groups. Three kinds of solidarity are presented in this work: obligatory, voluntary and intergeneration. The obligatory solidarity is realized through the social security system and the health care. The voluntary solidarity is realized mostly out of public sector and it is more valuable and better evaluated than the compulsory solidarity. The voluntary solidarity is applied on through the variety of charitable and non-profit organizations and we speak about formal kind of volunteering. On the other hand, informal volunteering is considered as acting when somebody relinquish of something or provides help to somebody else without having any reward expectations. Intergeneration solidarity was in the past comprehended as handing over values, standards, knowledge and experience in frame of family. Nowadays in view of the fact that the age of lives is getting longer and the population is rising, demand of intergeneration solidarity out of family is also rising. The volunteereing could be a good instrument for intergeneration learning. The practical part of this work describes the opinions of enquired respondents to fulfil the principles of social solidarity in the Czech Republic. To arrange all necessary information the quantitative form of investigation has been used. The method of questionaire has been applied. The number of 188 young people participated in this kind of research. The main task was to find out how the young people feel the fulfilment of social solidarity principles in practise. The partial goal was to investigate ? how the young people feel the compulsory and the voluntary solidarity towards chosen social groups. According to the research results, the young people perceive better the voluntary solidarity, however, mostly they take part in informal kind of volunteering. Formal volunteering, i.e. charity and non-profit organization activities are maximal supported by themselves as well. Regarding the obligatory solidarity it has been find out some differencies, especially by the social security system, where is by the way the solidarity of highearning ones with lowearning ones is being fulfilled. Two hypothesis were stated in this kind of research. The first one said that the voluntary solidarity will be better accepted by young people than the compulsory one. The second hypothesis assumed that the young people will feel the affirmative intergeneration demand. Both of them were confirmed on statistic basis. In my opinion, the young people feel the social solidarity system in the Czech Republic in positive way. Most of addressed respondents apply the solidarity towards single social group and furthermore feel affirmative the requirement of intergeneration solidarity realization. However, the results point out that there is slight disagreement with redistributive state policy. This work could help to understand better the relationship between young generation and the essential atribute of social citizienship. Eventually to identification of attitudes heading for restricting the redistribution rate towards the social needy individuals.

CHURANOVÁ, Hana
The pregnancy is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful time in the life of every woman. But the process of pregnancy is not always without complications. Even if a high-risk pregnancy appeared also in the past ages, nowadays due to the system of prenatal care and the centralization of high-risk pregnancy cases in the perinatological centres, the number of life-born children who have better chances for higher quality of life is increasing. An ethical duty of the Hippocratic oath today
PETRŮ, Martina
The Hippocratic Oath probably comes from the 4th - 5th century BC. It is traditionally attributed to ancient physician Hippocrates or one of his disciples. It was created as a moral guide to behavior of physicians and it describes fundamental ethical principles of their profession in relation to the surroundings, family, teachers and the patient. In its time it represented a revolutionary rule.Text of the Hippocratic Oath has functioned as an oath sworn by inchoative physicians for centuries. Today it is replaced by a medical oath, which, in its different variants, is based on ethical Hippocratic requirements related to quality of contact between the physician and the patient. Changes in the Hippocratic Oath are mainly related to the development of surgery, transplantation, euthanasia, etc. The Hippocratic Oath refuses surgical interventions, because in times when it was created, these principles were in conflict with beneficence and intactness. This is the reason why it also rejects euthanasia and abortion.Nowadays, these interventions are already legalised in some countries to a certain extent and are applied according to relevant principles. Target of this Bachelor´s thesis was to find out what significance is attached to the Hippocratic Oath today. The thesis was conceived as a theoretical and historical comparative study aimed at the interpretation of content of the Hippocratic Oath, its further historical development and its today's validity or applicability. It was examined whether its text can compete in present times and which parts are still valid and which have been overcome. For this purpose, there was used a comparison of interpretation of content of the Hippocratic Oath with present moral codes in medicine, specifically with the Czech Medical Chamber Code and the Nurse Code of Ethics. In the introductory chapter of my Bachelor´s thesis, there are defined basic concepts related to the Hippocratic Oath, such as ethics, morality, medical ethics, relations between ethics and the law and basic medical principles. The next chapter deals with the author of the Oath, his teachings, times and circumstances of creation of the Hippocratic Oath, development of changes in the text of medical sponzes connected to changes in the society. The third chapter is dedicated to history of medicine from death of Hippocrates to present days. The last section is dedicated to the text analysis of the Hippocratic Oath in connection with current status of the medical field, and at the same time there was carried out a comparison of its text with applicable codes mentioned above. Aim of this thesis, in addition to interpretation and validity findings of the Hippocratic Oath, is to reveal identical and different elements referring to its text in the codes. Mutual comparison revealed that ethical issues of both codes are in accordance with the Hippocratic Oath. General ethical principles like decency, thoughtfulness and mutual respect are concepts, which have effect even today. I would say that in some points the Hippocratic Oath is obsolete and does not have anything to offer today. However, the opposite is true. Nowadays, medicine develops at an incredible pace and good relations between the physician and the patient slowly fade away. The patient is increasingly becoming some kind of material substance. Physicians often carry out their work under pressure of environment, insurance companies, pharmaceutical and other companies. Decency, empathy and good manners are disappearing. Nowadays, the Hippocratic Oath cannot fully encompass all complicated relationships and problems physicians face during their performance of their occupation, and according to these problems they should choose actual ethical practices. Despite its age, however, it is still accepted by laical and professional public for its unquestionable moral legacy.
