Evaluation of differences in crop management of line and hybrid cultivars of wheat (\kur{Triticum aestivum} L.)
MAGOČI, Jan
The target of this bachelor thesis is to compare the main differences of both breeding and growing technology of line and hybrid cultivars of sown wheat. On the grounds of gathered data from specialized literature and also from the growers from different parts of South Bohemian region, who are concerned with hybrid wheat growing, I came to the result that hybrid wheat is more productive than line cultivars, predominantly in the conditions that are less suitable for winter wheat growing. The breeding of hybrid wheat is more expensive and demanding, which has an impact on the price of seeds. According to chosen growers, it can be stated that hybrid wheat growing is in the phase of discovering qualities, abilities and possibilities of hybrid wheat.
