System for Interlinking Texts of State Exam Topics, Learning Support- and Other Supplementary Materials

The main goal of this thesis is to survey methods which are used for keyword extraction from articles and text documents. After that design and create system, which will be able to interlink texts of state exam topics, learning support and other supplementary materials. Finally step is evaluate the created system to materials from VUT FIT in Brno and appraise results in applicability for preparing students for final exams. 
Automatic Creation of the Publication Index

The goal of this thesis is to survey potential of common language processing methods for text indexing. A prototype of automatic index-building system will be made and tested on gathered data. A direction for the next developement will be set based on the results of the tests.
Automatic Keyword Detection

The main goal of this work is to survey the field of the automatic keywords tagging in a text and apply this background for automatically generating back-of-the-book indexes. Human made indexes are expensive and that's why we are looking for (semi)-automatic methods indexes. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with collocations, which are an important part of generated indexes. The practical part of the work applies selected methods to testing data and summarize results of experiments.
Epigraphical monuments of the central city of České Budějovice.

The thesis deals with epigraphical monuments of central city of České Budějovice up to 1900 and at the same time it tries to acquaint with the history of the city with the intention to medieval times and with its system of fortification. The thesis is divided to nine chapters. The history of medieval city of České Budějovice is described in the first chapter. The second chapter deals with city fortifications from its beginning to the present. The third chapter brings a summary of studies which deal with making accessible of the epigraphical monuments. The fourth chapter is about territory which determines the catalogue accessed area. Detailed catalogue principles which are used in the epigraphical catalogue, structure of particular catalogue records and classification of the epigraphical material are presented in next chapters of the thesis. The eighth chapter is the main part of this work. The catalogue brings 127 epigraphical inscriptions, both extant up to the present and also not extant which are situated in the determinate area. Last chapter contains indices which should make work with the catalogue easier. The conclusion summarizes the gained findings. List of sources and bibliography follow. The appendices conclude the thesis.
Creation of the index in LaTeX

This bachelor work introduces creating of book indexes to LaTeX programme users. The reader will learn how to write documents in LaTeX and how to enclose an index to his/her own document. Next the ways of index and it's modifications are described here. The work is designed for all LaTeX programme users, but especially for writers of specialised books and similar publications. Data Quality and Effective Use of Registers of State Administration

This diploma thesis deals with registers of state administration in term of data quality. The main objective is to analyze the ways how to evaluate data quality and to apply appropriate method to data in business register. Analysis of possibilities of data cleansing and data quality improving and proposal of solution of found inaccuracy in business register is another objective. The last goal of this paper is to analyze approaches how to set identifier of persons and to choose suitable key for identification of persons in registers of state administration. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first one includes introduction into the sphere of registers of state administration. It closely analyzes several selected registers especially in terms of which data contain and how they are updated. Description of legislation changes, which will come into operation in the middle of year 2010, is great contribution of this part. Special attention is dedicated to the impact of these changes from data quality point of view. Next part deals with problems of legal and physical entities identifiers. This section contains possible solution how to identify entities in data from registers. Third part analyzes ways how to determine data quality. Method called data profiling is closely described and applied to extensive data quality analysis of business register. Correct metadata and information about incorrect data are the outputs of this analysis. The last chapter deals with possibilities how to solve data quality problems. There are proposed and compared three variations of solution. The paper as a whole represents compact material how to solve problems with effective using of data contained in registers of state administration. Nevertheless, proposed solutions and described approaches can be used in many other projects which deal with data quality.
