Leisure activites for mentally and physically handicapped people in Zbesicky

The work deals with leisure activities in a facility for people with disabilities in Zběšičky. The next is divided into practical and theoretical part. The theoretical part deals with a specific facility, DOZP Zběšičky. It deals with the history, clients, and the possibility of using free time in the facility. Furthermore, the theoretical part examines the definitions and differences of mental and physical disabilities, leisure time and opportunities for leisure activities for people with disabilities. The practical part deals with specific clients and their key employees through qualitative research and interviews. The practical part also describes the possibilities of using free time and describes the lives of people living in this facility.
The attitude of today's world to hearing impaired people

The main purpose of this work is to show the mindset about hearing impaired people mainly in the Czech republic in 21. century. To show the difference between accepting hearing impaired people through the history and in todays society. This work includes the differences between states like Germany, Norway and United Kingdom and czech society. Also I am writing about the possibilities that our society has created to help hearing impaired people hear again or improve their hearing and how it is making it easier for hearing impaired people to be part of our society. My work is divided to two sections. The teoretical part, where I discribed the history. I discribed some of the medical and technological divices which is made for hearing impaired people. Then I also mentioned in my theses the problems with integration and inclusion. And of course I am looking for support in our laws and their realizations. In the second part, the practical one, I focused on the proves. Those I am looking for through my interview with hearing impaired person and people from hearing society.
Identification of the extent of necessary support provided to children and adults with physical and combined disabilities

The bachelor thesis is focused on identifying the extent of the necessary support provided to children and adults with physical and combined disabilities within day care centres and week care centres. The aim of the work is to find out how the necessary support is implemented for these users, to find out which methods are used by social service providers to determine the extent of the support, how the necessary support is transformed into individual planning, and how individual planning works within the regular practice of the social worker. The theoretical part of the thesis describes physical and combined disabilities, defines the work of the social worker and social services, evaluation and overview of the necessary support provided to children and adults with physical and combined disabilities and it also contains chapters focused on individual planning. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis, a qualitative research survey using the method of semi-structured interview has been carried out, and a sample of respondents from the social workers working in day or week care centres in the Czech Republic have been approached. Research questions on methods of identifying the extent of the support needed for children or adults with physical and combined disabilities and methods of using these findings in the individual planning of the course of the social service have been identified. Respondents' responses have been processed by the open coding methodology.
Person with Teacher Collins syndrom in context with coordinated care and quality of life, case study

Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of Treacher Collins syndrome. Treacher Collins Syndrome is a rare genetic disease that is distinctly manifested by deformities in the face. Due to the different appearance and ignorance of the syndrome, it is difficult, for the public, to integrate individuals into society. These factors impede the mental well-being of both the individual and his family. This work is divided into theoretical and research part. In the theoretical part, the subject of this syndrome is elaborated based on relevant sources, so that the reader be well versed in this issue. It deals with the definition of Treacher Collins syndrome, its history, description of symptoms, and causes. The thesis also mentions methods of prenatal diagnosis and the development of such an individual. The next part focuses on comprehensive care of individuals. It includes special pedagogical care, health and social care. It deals primarily with the education of individuals, surgical interventions, compensatory aids, and the integration of individuals with Treacher Collins syndrome into society. The research part consists of a case study of a specific individual with Treacher Collins syndrome and his family. This part has been aimed to obtain and process information concerning the state of health, personal and family case history, available medical care, education, interests and life quality of the individual and his family. An in-depth interview and analysis of specific documents were used to obtain data. The research revealed a lot of interesting information. It turned out that the quality of life is influenced by levels of parental competencies, quality of health care, and the functionality of integration into the education system.
Use of physical activity for people with Down syndrome

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of physical activities for people with Down syndrome. The aim of the work is to search and describe which physical activities are used in social services for these people. To achieve the aim of the work, the quality research, the method of questioning, the technique of half-controlled interview and the technique of the focus group were used. The answers of the communicative partners were gathered with regard to two different research files, and with different techniques of getting the data. The first research files are social workers, workers in social services and activation workers. The participants of the interviews were nine workers from five different social facilities in the South Moravian and the South Bohemian region. The results were evaluated with the system of open coding and data categorization. The other research file were the clients of one of the social facility in the South Moravian region. The data were gathered with the focus group technique. The focus group contains five clients (three men and two women). The results are evaluated with the method of creating clumps. The results show that the offer of physical activities in social services is varied and diverse, the clients are supported in these activities and the influence on them is positive. The most of the clients appreciate physical activities, participate in sports actions, competitions and special Olympic games. The benefit of the bachelor thesis is the summary of physical activities, their use, and possible inspiration for those who work with people affected with Down syndrome. The work also emphasizes the importance of physical activities and it may help with public awareness in this area.
Gothic and Realistic Features in the Works of Flannery O´Connor and Carson McCullers

The diploma thesis focuses on a comparative analysis of Flannery O'Connor's and Carson McCullers' Southern Gothic literary works. Special emphasis is put on the relationship between the gothic and realistic features. The comparative analysis is based on the characterisation of Southern Gothic literature (the landscape and environment as the main focus), which leads to the specification of its main features. Individual chapters contain O'Connor's and McCullers' biographies. The comparative analysis itself concentrates on the description of the heroes and their relationships, the function of landscape, the meaning of grotesque motifs, the connection of traditional and comical features, the influence of past, the role of religion and the issue of good and evil.
The leisure time of the childern with autism spectrum disorder

In the theoretical part concepts as handicap, ethics, empathy, disability are explained. History of handicap and ethics i salso briefly described. In the thesis an overview and characteristics of handicap, society attitude towards people with disabilites and communication with people with disabilities. The theoretical part is concluded with chapters about socialization and integration of people with disabilites. Practical part descibes unethical behaviour towards people with disabilites in different areas of life with the help of casuistry.

International protection of persons with disabilities Summary The theme of this thesis is the protection of persons with disabilities under international law. In last decades there have been a dramatic shift in the perception of disability. It has changed from medical approach to the social model of disability, which is closely connected with the human rights perspective on the "disability rights". This paradigm shift has culminated in adoption of the United Nations Convention on the rights of people with disabilities. Violating of their human have several forms and is spreaded all over the world. Nevertheless, the number of them is still growing. According to the WHO estimations about 15 % of world population live with some form of disability and most of them in developing countries in the condictions of the lack of elementary resources and support. Relation between disability, discrimination, poverty nad social exclusion is thus more than clear. On the other hand, people with disabilities definitely do not present any kind of homogeneous group. Diversity of people with disabilities brings a serious challenge in the various forms of obstacles and barriers preventing them from full and equal enjoyment of their human rights and thus a wide range of measures necessary to eliminate them.
