This thesis deals with the topic of children interiors. Bachelor thesis briefly describes the historical development of furnishing of children's interiors. It contains rules for furnishing the children's room, so that the children could feel comfortable and safe at the same time. The thesis is devoted to the specific requirements for each child's developmental period in terms of ergonomics, safety and hygiene . In the thesis, there is included a problem, which takes into consideration more children in a room. This bachelor thesis maps also offer of children's furniture in the domestic market and current trends. The gained knowledge is used in its own proposal of resolution of children's room.

The bachelor thesis work analyses the range of wooden carved toys and surface finishing that is currently manufactured in the Czech Republic. The first part deals with the analysis of the current trend of finishing wooden carved toys. In the second part safety and environmental requirements for children's carved toys are defined. Then it examines the physico-mechanical and ecological properties of finished wooden segments used in the manufacture of children's carved toys. And last but not least the laboratory tests and measurements of physico-mechanical and ecological properties of finished surfaces of children's carved toys are being performed. And the result of the thesis work is evaluating the outcomes of the tests and measurements and comparison of the properties of finished surfaces according to ČSN and EN applicable standards and determining the proper properties of finished surfaces for children's toys.

Contents of this work is design solution of a part of a children's room for two school aged children, proposal is intended largely to the working and the storage zone according to the order's requirements. The theoretical part describes proportional orders of furniture for chosen category of age, further materials currently used for furniture production, study of analogous solutions and safety requirements to furniture for children. The practical part is made by drawing documentation, bills of materials and visualization of proper design solution. The constituent part of the work is as well economical evaluation dealing with direct material costs only.

This thesis describes the design of a complete design solution, nursery equip-ment, such as tables, chairs, beds, storage space, etc., with the imporcondition variability, thus - "growing furniture." Dimensions, appearance, functionality, gateways are modeled in exhibitions, research the Internet and in brick and mortar stores, of which the option is based. An important part of the thesis is "Annex", which contains the entire fattening and voice documentation solutions proposed design including BOM, visualization and economic considerations in the level of material costs.

Balchory thesis describes the issue of variable furniture for preschoolers. The design is written like a research of existing offer on furniture market. Theoretical part of my balchory thesis is about design issues of variable furniture and about relationship between furniture and children. Practical part of my balchory thesis contains solution furniture element for preschoolers. Design of furniture element contains drawings, bill of materials and the calculation of direct material costs.

This bachelor thesis is focused on furniture suitable for leisure time of children aged 6 to 11 years. The thesis characterizes the period of younger school age and focuses on the ways children of this age spend their free time. Another topic, which is described in this thesis is area where children usually spend their free time and requirements for equipment of this area. The thesis also describes specific requirements for furniture that children use in their spare time and facilities that surround them. Last part of bachelor thesis shows results of discussion with children of younger school age and presents simple design of furniture element, inspired by children's ideas, considering functionality and above all safety.
