Physical fitness of football players category U7
Navara, Miroslav ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Šťastný, Petr (referee)
Title: Physical fitness of football players category U7 Objectives: To find the level of physical fitness and level of football skills of football players category U7. Find a relationship between physical fitness and level of football skills. Methods: Total sample was consisted of 22 players category U7 (year of birth 2010). For get level of physical fitness we used the Unifittest 6-60 which is composed of four tests and somatic test. We calculated BMI from results of somatic test. For test of football skills we create a special test which included elementary player skills (keeping a ball with change of direction, stop the ball). Results: When we get a results of Unifittest 6-60 we determinate that 63 % of players get average to below average score. When we determined the dependence of special skills on physical fitness, we found, apart from the sit up test, that the remaining tests correlated quite extensively with the special skill test. Special skill test correlated with overall score of Unifittest 6-60. When we get level of subcutaneous fat we find that players have medium to low value. Keywords: Unifittest 6-60, football, ability, skill, children, testing, body mass index
Weight and BMI in relation to the dose of levotyroxin of patients with hypothyreosis
Radiměřská, Veronika ; Jiskra, Jan (advisor) ; Ježková, Jana (referee)
The objective of this study was to define if there is a mutual influence between the daily dose of levothyroxine, positivity/negativity of thyroid antibody, BMI, waistline, hip measurement and other anthropometric parameters. It was also to analyze if the daily dose of levothyroxine is being influenced by degree of hypothyroidismimportance. Methodology: There were 44 patients examined having hypothyroidism and who have been cured with levothyroxine so that their thyroid function has been normal at the time. I have examined those patients' body height, weight, BMI, waistline and hipline. Under the supervision of the medicine doctor I used records available for each of patients regarding concentration of TSH, TPOAb and TgAb, which were defined with patients' blood by a method of immunoassay. Results: The average daily dose of levothyroxine in all patients sample has showed a positive correlation with BMI (Spearman rho coef. 0,429, P value=0,004) and with waistline of women (Spearman rho coef. 0,332, P value=0,028). The concentration of thyroidantibody did not show a statistical relevance regarding the dependence with the dose of levothyroxine, BMI or other anthropometric parameters. The highest average daily dose of levothyroxine was confirmed for examined patients after total thyroidectomy (median of...
The ability to assess the physical endurance of students
Bohata, Pavel ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Hlavička, Petr (referee)
Title: The ability to assess the physical endurance of students Objectives: Goal of this bachelor's thesis is to diagnose the endurance assumptions and determine the values of body mass index of students at second degree of primary schools. Another goal is in analyzing the results of students with common range of education and students with extended range of music education and aesthetics. Subsequently will follow comparison of analyzed results with goal of finding out statistical difference which is significant between endurance assumptions and the body mass index. Methods: The thesis is conducted in the form of quantitative research. The level of endurance assumptions is determined by multi-stage fitness test (Leger test) and by the values of BMI based on anthropometric characteristics. Results are evaluated in a form of histograms and tables. Analysis is performed by using a F-test and a t- test. The choosen test samples are students of two schools which first one is with common range of education and the second one is with extended range of music education and aesthetics. Resulsts: From evaluated and compared results is obvious that there is no statistically significant difference and therefore can't be said that students with extended music education and aesthetics would reach worse results in...

Influence of overweight and obesity in children of preschool age
Paulusová, Denisa ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Jasanská, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Influence of overweight and obesity in children of preschool age Objectives: The first aim is to process a literature review of Czech and foreign authors. Based on this review a survey dealing with this issue will be analysed evaluated. Methods: Summary of literature review, devising a survey dealing with the issue, which resulted from the studied literature. Parents of preschool children, who visit "Kroužky", where involved in this survey. Results of 100 respondents will be investigated and assessed in the results of this work. Results: Literature review showed that more children are obese. Physical options of preschool children are affected by using modern technology. The result of survey is that preschool children spend more time in virtual world than performing physical activity. Eating habits is another factor that affects overweight and obesity. Nevertheless the overweight and obesity were occured, 95 % of all survey children have breakfast. In influencing obesity we should instead focus on quality of intake food. Keywords: overweight, obesity, life style, physical aktivity, Body mass index (BMI)
The relation between morphological and personality traits in humans
Sýkorová, Kateřina ; Flegr, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Třebický, Vít (referee)
In humans, as in animals, associations or correlations between morphological and personality traits can be observed. Some of the most conspicuous and well describable morphological traits in humans are eye color, hair color, body height and body mass index (BMI). These traits can correlate not only with temperament or character, but also, for example, with intelligence. Relations between morphology and personality can have an origin on a genetic or an environmental level. The human psyche, which can be influenced by social factors, can also have a role in the chain of causes and consequences. In this study, known relations between morphological traits and personality are discussed and mechanisms which could be responsible for these relations are mentioned. This study also focuses on the possible role of the environment which could explain some associations between the traits. Further, there is an attempt to identify environmental factors contributing to the morphological and personality traits which could therefore be a cause of some correlation between these traits.
eating habits and lifestyle of obese people
NERADOVÁ, Andrea
In the theoretical part of my bachelor thesis I sum up the existing knowledge/information about obesity. In the first chapter I focus on the characteristics of obesity where I mention different definitions and ways of classification and diagnosis of obesity. In the next chapter I deal with obesity epidemiology, mentioning that it is an illness with an increasing prevalency, giving number information about obesity prvalency from different years to make its growth clearly visible. Further, I state what influences obesity prevalence. The next chapter focuses on possible causes of obesity formation. I mention possible risks, such as genetic, biochemical, psychological, socio-cultural and economic factors. In the next chapter, I describe obesity as a risk factor for the formation of certain illnesses and health condition complications. The link between obesity and certain illnesses is supported by a range of studies. In the last but one chapter I describe the prevention of obesity formation as one of the most important ways to solve the growing occurence of obesity. The last chapter is focused on the options of obesity therapy and on what types of therapy are used in different cases. In the practical part, I carried out a research on 40 respondents in which I was trying to map out their eating habits and the lifestyle of obese individuals, which was the aim of my thesis. I compared how the eating habits and lifestyle of obese individuals differed from the nutritional recommendations and helathy lifestyle principles. Women and men in the age group of 18 to 65 could be the respondents. Data collection was carried out through a quantitative method, via an anonymous questionnare. The research was carried out within the region of South Bohemia during three months in 2017. The results were evaluated via Microsoft Office Excel 2007. The total of 60 questionnares was handed out, but due to its return and unsatisfactory form-filling, the reearch file is finally made of only 40 respondents. The results prove that none, the eating habits nor the lifestyle of obese individuals significantly follow nutritional recommendations and healthy lifestyle principles. Obese individuals have an inappropriate representation of most nutrients in their diet, an irregular diet and low physical activity. Further on, I have confirmed my assumption that genetic factors, besides eating habits and lifestyle also support obesity.
