DC to DC inverter for backup power supplies
Eliáš, Marek ; Zemánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a DC/DC converter designed for charging supercapacitors from the 36 V voltage source and consequent back transformation of supercapacitors voltage to the required output voltage. In the thesis the designs of decreasing and increasing DC/DC converters including schematics and calculations of individual components are presented and described. The calculations necessary for the supercapacitors to meet the 10Wh energy condition and the voltage balancer on the capacitors are given below. Completely designed equipment will be assembled and tested on supercapacitors with lower energy.
Controler for brushless motors
Zdařil, Tomáš ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kincl, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of the thesis was to design and create one-way speed controler for brushless DC motors, that is used in air modeling. The function is based on the without sensors control method and circuit is controlled by the Atmel AVR. Power unit for motor is used Li – pol accumulator. The controller is equipped with a BEC to power the receiver and allows monitoring current and voltage on the accumulator. The measured data can be uploaded to a PC.
Design of charger with balancer
Paták, Michal ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Burian, František (advisor)
This semestral project deals with battery charging. The project describes qualities and possibilities of lithium and lead-acid battery charging. The charger is independent on the input voltage and should considerately recharge the batteries. Due to considerate recharging process to measure the voltage at various articles of the battery is needed and then balance this voltage. Since the charger is to be implemented in a robot, it is needed to switch the operation from an external source and the battery. The first part of the project deals with qualities of batteries and the way of their recharging. In the second part I design a charger block. In the third part I design the individual blocks charger and in the last part I design a software for changer.
Battery charger
Paták, Michal ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Burian, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with battery charging. The thesis describes qualities and possi-bilities of lithium battery charging. The charger is independent on the input voltage and recharges batteries carefully. Due to a careful recharging process it is needed to measure the voltage at various cells of the battery and then balance this voltage. Since the charger is to be implemented in a robot, it is needed to switch the operation from an external source and the battery. The first part of the project deals with qualities of batteries and the way of their recharging. In the second part I design an individual blocks charger. In the third part I deal with a communication with a computer charger and data visualization. And in the last part I designed a program for the charger.

The goal of the thesis was to design and create one-way speed controler for brushless DC motors, that is used in air modeling. The circuit is controlled by the Atmel AVR. As power unit for motor is used Li–pol accumulator. The controller is equipped with BEC to power the receiver and allows monitoring of current consumption and voltage on the accumulator. Measured data can be upload to a PC where they can be displayed by RegulatorPC in graphical form.
