Switch mode supplies
Hladík, Jan ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of switched power supply for laboratory lessons. Forward converter was chosen as the topology of this power supply. Output voltage is adjustable from 0 V to 32 V. Power supply is capable of output current up to 10 A and output has adjustable current limiting. Following parts were designed: LC filter, pulse transformer, bridge rectifier with capacitor, power MOS-FETs driver, closed loop control with its auxiliary power supply. Cascade closed loop control is used for controlling of designed power supply. Control is analogue, operation amplifiers were used for its construction. PCB was designed for the whole power supply. Power supply was sucessfully assembled and tested.
Switching charger for car batteries 14.4V/6A
Gábel, Marián ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with issue of design of a switching charger for car batteries using a fly-back converter. The fly-back converter and its functions are theoretically described in the first chapter, which also explains use of a modification of a circuit. The modification is used because of its increased efficiency compared to the ordinary loss solutions of a relieving circuit. Subsequently, in next chapter the thesis focuses on design of a power section of the circuit, which involves calculations of the circuit’s elements. Subsequently, the MOSFET transistor control design is performed using the UC3844 integrated circuit. The charger was constructed according to design and its proper functionality was verified by measurements.
Design of switching-mode regulated power supply
Zelinková, Lenka ; Kováč,, Michal (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The thesis addresses the conceptual design and implementation of the switched-mode power supply having the adjustable dc voltage output up to 25V and current output up to 15A. The half-bridge topology is used for this supply. Design features and quantities are simulated in PSpice and Micro-Cap simulation tools. The thesis covers the simulation results, assembly data and the results measured on the implemented functional sample.
Partial Discharge in High Frequency Electronic Equipment
Havlíček, Tomáš ; Maschke, Jan (referee) ; Dřímal,, Jiří (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The presented thesis is focused on knowledge extension in the area of partial discharge measurements and evaluation at frequencies higher than 1 kHz. The thesis includes the design and set up of the measuring workplace equipped for measuring partial discharges, including the methodology of the measuring and calibration procedures necessary for the achievement of reproducible results. Another part of the thesis deals with the technology of acoustical and electromagnetic sensors convenient for the diagnostics and localization of partial discharges in devices, that work at voltages above 500 V. Electrical circuits that enable data evaluation by using the signal from a sensor working on amplitude analysis principle were developed. For PD detection a PC controlled measuring device working on amplitude analysis principle had to be designed and realized. The possibilities of the workplace have been demonstrated in the process of development of the insulating systems for pulse transformers. Thesis results can significantly contribute to a higher quality of newly designed electronic devices and systems working at voltages above 500 V.
Electronic equipment for high-power flash light
Fritsch, Karel ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
Point of this thesis is introduction to topology of small power switching power supplies and final application of gained knowledge during development of converter for charging capacitor battery of high power photographic flash. Thesis also contains design of control unit with microcontroller and description of work process of activation individual function blocks.
Switching source in electric tractions vehicle
Škunda, Michal ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The first part of this work describes the design and implementation of switch-mode power supply for control circuits for 12/2x24V 4.5A fuel cells. The introduction picks the issue of power sources in electromobiles and final design and implementation of switching power suply. The next part deals with the issues of fast-charger and generators for power transistors. It describes the structure of DC converter and control and protectin circuits of quick-charger. In the end this work describes selected driver circuits and charge tests on fast-charger as evidenced by measurements.
High-Voltage Sources for AC Cell Electroporation
Folprecht, Martin ; Drábek,, Pavel (referee) ; Damec,, Vladislav (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This doctoral thesis deals with an application of power converters in experimental medicine. Contemporary knowledge about a relatively new electroporation method and present solutions of power converters used for this method are analyzed at this work. The main part of the thesis is focused on a design and development of a new high-voltage generator proposed to AC electroporation. The last part documents an experimental verification of its function.
Switched power source 300 V/100 V
Horníček, Evžen ; Lutera, Ondřej (referee) ; Pavelka, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of switching power supply used for supplying of electronical measurement instruments. The project consists of choosing of suitable type of the converter, system design of the converter, design of the pulse transformer and the output coil. For final control of design was designed the convertor with universal control circuit and there were measured its basic parameters. Then, the universal control circuit was replaced by microcontroller.
Partial Discharge in Electronic Equipments
