Implementation of the basal stimulation concept in old people homes in the South-Bohemiam Region.
VESELÁ, Jaroslava
The theme for the bachelor work is the implementation of the conception of the basal stimulation in the retirements homes in the South Bohemian region. At present, the age average of seniors in all types of social care establishments is increasing, especially in residential establishments. To reach the quality of the provided care, it is necessary for all members of the nursing stuff to be informed of the problems and to manage the process of taking control of these problems and to solve them One of the most demanding tasks of the nursing care is to meet the needs of the client and to understand the style of communication. The basal stimulation is a conception that helps to meet the needs of all clients. It derives benefit from previous firmly footed life habits, customs and experiences of the client. The aim of the work is to find out, if the nursing team is making use of the basal stimulation conception in the retirement homes of the South Bohemian region. In the work, two hypothesis have been pointed: Hypothesis 1: In the retirement homes of the South Bohemian Region, the basal stimulation conception in the nurse care with seniors is not being used. Hypothesis 2: According the subjective opinion of the nurses, the basal stimulation conception is not being used for reasons of absence of nursing stuff in the retirement homes. To gain the information, a quantity investigation was used with a method of questioning, with a questionnaire given to the nursing stuff of seven selected retirement homes in the South Bohemian region Through the analysis of collected data subsequently processed into graphic charts and schemes, the first pointed out hypothesis was disproved and the second hypothesis was affirmed. In two selected retirement homes, the basal stimulation conception is used. When treating seniors, the method most frequently used is the positioning with bead aids. I believe that the investigation is also a practical contribution for the reason of the exchange of information about the existence of the basal stimulation conception to the nursing stuff who have not yet been informed about it, I hope that the basal stimulation will gain a basic position among the established methods of nursing care and will become a great contribution for the patient as well as for the whole nursing team.
The nurse with high school (university) education as a member of nursing team
VACKOVÁ, Jana
Recently, the university-educated nurses´ integration into the nursing staff has been a topical issue. My thesis deals with the issue {\clqq} A university-educated nurse as a member of the nursing staff.`` The thesis is divided into two sections {--} theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part information on education of nurses in the past and nowadays is presented. The current health care legislation is also given attention to. The thesis deals with the health care philosophy and is focused on the personality of a nurse. The chapters of the practical section refer to the following topics: the study objective, hypotheses, the collecting data methodology, the characteristics of the research set. In the following chapter charts showing results of the research are presented. The results are then analysed, compared and evaluated. The objective of my thesis was to learn what is the university-educated nurses´ position in the nursing staff hierarchy. I wanted to examine what the rank of universityeducated nurses in the nursing team is from the viewpoint of other nursing staff members, doctors, patients and also the university-educated nurses themselves. I handed out questionnaires to four different research sets of respondents: patients, the secondaryschool- educated nurses, university-educated nurses and doctors. Two hypotheses were set. The obtained data analysis shows that the first hypothesis: {\clqq}the university-educated nurses´s position within the medical staff is not specified yet`` was confirmed. The second hypothesis: {\clqq}From the viewpoint of a patient the rank of a university-educated nurse and that of the school of nursing are the same`` was also confirmed. Besides these findings there are other very interesting conclusions emerging from the research. The data I obtained are compared to those obtained in a similar research four years ago. The thesis thus contributes to recognition what has changed in terms of the attitude to nurses and their education. Despite being an integral part of the nursing staff, the university-educated nurses have an ill-defined position within the nursing team. The objective of my thesis was achieved. The main contribution of my thesis may be the presentation of these conclusions to the public {--} the potential health care facilities clients. It could enhance the reputation of the nursing profession in society.
The integration of students from Faculty of Health and Social Studies to the nursing team from the student´s point of view
BRADOVÁ, Zuzana
The education of nurses takes place in double environment; each of them is equally important (university and clinical practice). One of most important elements, influencing the contribution and quality of the hands-on training, is surely the rate of the integration of students to the nursing staff. The process of the integration is very complex, depending on various factors that may affect it negatively as well as positively. The principal aim of the bachelor work was to determine the rate of the integration of the students of our faculty to a nursing team during the course of training from the point of view of a student from field of study Nurse. I suppose that the objects of the work were fulfilled and the hypotheses, by virtue of the evaluation of results, confirmed.
