Vectoring in xDSL systems
Rada, Dominik ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis presents the approximation of VDSL2 and G.fast transmission systems according to pre-selected cable types. The thesis is also focused on the principle of vectoring and its use. The components of the thesis are explained by initialization process in modems with support of vectoring and approximation of Pre-Coder algorithms. A part of the thesis is a created user application in MATLAB, which displays the influence of vectoring on the transfer rates based on user input. In addition, the application captures primary and secondary line parameters, transmission characteristics, and transmitted masks.
G.fast transmission technology
Zvařič, Filip ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on G.fast and VDSL2 technologies and their comparison. G.fast has the prerequisites for replacing VDSL2 for short distances. This work describes in detail the modulation techniques of both DSL technologies - DMT modulation used by both technologies. The aim of this work is to create a software for comparing the transfer rates of all profiles of both technologies, including the effects of far-end crosstalk. This is performed in the Matlab environment. This work describes how the program works and how to run the simulations. The results of selected simulations and their charts are enclosed in this work.
Procedure for the application of a high-speed VDSL2 technology
Coufal, Tomáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Bohumil (advisor)
A bachelor thesis sums up the basic line parameter, it deals with VDSL2 technology and G.fast. The work describes its attributes, profiles, masks and also an utilisation of vectoring. There is a comparation with other used technologies in this work. The last part is focused on simulations which are comparing different types of DSL connections and on an influence of vectoring to achievable effective distance.
Design of an optical access network
Kučera, Jan ; Filka, Miloslav (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor Thesis deals with the optical access network, mostly with the passive ones. It aims for current trends of users connecting to the optical access network by using FTTx connections, moreover the thesis aims on DOCSIS technology and G.Fast. Due to a focus on DOCSIS and G.Fast metallic elements are discussed too. In the practical part of bachelor thesis the theoretical knowledge in solving of access optical networks are applied. The proposal involves the technical solution of the building optical access networks, technology, attenuators balance and calculation of network. Thereafter there is discussed the simulation of the proposed project, verification of the correctness of the proposal and its evaluation.
