Karásek, Josef ; Murina, Milan (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis put I mind to description linear power supply and switched power supply and proposal their component. Produce my project is work up theory forward, flyback converter, linear power supply and after make an example program which calculate value of particular components.
DC/DC converter 24 V / 350 V / 100 VA with a pulse transformer
Pár, Lukáš ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of DC/DC converter which will be used in one-phase inverter powered from batteries. Required parameters are output power of 100 W, input voltage of 24 V and output voltage of 350 V. In the first part is briefly discussed used topology of flyback converter. In the next part is designed impulse transformer with a request to design impulse transformer as small as possible. Thesis continues with draft of power components placed on primary and secondary side of converter. In this thesis is part about limitation of voltage overshoot at turn off transistor. Next part of this thesis deals with the design of control circuits using an integrated circuit from the UC384x family. Thesis continues with the production and debugging of the converter. At the end of this thesis are measurements confirming the correctness of the proposed design.
Switch mode supplies
Hladík, Jan ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of switched power supply for laboratory lessons. Forward converter was chosen as the topology of this power supply. Output voltage is adjustable from 0 V to 32 V. Power supply is capable of output current up to 10 A and output has adjustable current limiting. Following parts were designed: LC filter, pulse transformer, bridge rectifier with capacitor, power MOS-FETs driver, closed loop control with its auxiliary power supply. Cascade closed loop control is used for controlling of designed power supply. Control is analogue, operation amplifiers were used for its construction. PCB was designed for the whole power supply. Power supply was sucessfully assembled and tested.
Battery-powered welding inverter
Starec, Stanislav ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on proposition and following implementation of DC arc welder. This paper is based on semester’s paper, where the first version was realized. The welder is powered by a battery pack with LiFePO4 type cells. Battery cells are protected by BMS circuits. The driving electronics controls the duty cycle step-down (buck) converter in a closed current or power regulation loop. The power regulator has been designed and validated by simulations. Switching power transistors, low side and high side, are implemented by optically isolated gate drivers. Charging the battery is solved by a switching flyback converter. For the charger and the welder is sheet metal construction made of aluminum sheet.
Electronic ballast for sodium lamp
Eliáš, Jaroslav ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Huták, Petr (advisor)
The aim is to get acquainted with the way the management and regulation of sodium lamps. This knowledge is then applied to design your own gear. The introductory section describes the basic characteristics of discharge light sources. Their behavior was verified by measuring and findings were used to create diagrams, mainly the control circuit. Theoretical design is developed by individual functional parts of the inverter.
System of DC/DC converters for solar cells of a fotovoltaic power plant
Benda, Dušan ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis describes the design of a DC/DC converter for one photovoltaic panel with a 250 W peak power. The master thesis is divided into parts dealing with detailed design of power electronics, analog circuit design, description of control MPPT algorithms and software for control circuit. The chapter with the mathematical modeling of the converter created in the Matlab Simulink was added beyond the assignment.
Experimental flyback switching supply 1200 W/150 kHz with SiC switches
Grom, Martin ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design and construction of experimental flyback converter with utilization of novel lossless clamp circuit for switching transistor and with utilization of silicon carbide devices. The issue of flyback converter for higher power and possible control strategies are discussed. The thesis also describes power and control circuits design, design of PCB, construction of the converter and measured waveforms. End of the thesis contains technical documentation of designed board. Designed converter was successfully built and tested.
General-purpose power supply with microcontroller
Jorda, Ivo ; Vyskočil, Pavel (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is design of adjustable switched mode power supply with symmetrical output of 25 V, and switched mode power supply with fixed output voltage of 5 V. Required maximum output current of each outputs is 3 A. At the beginning of the paper function of the basic SMPS topologies is described. Next all reqiured SMPSs are designed and chosen parts of the design are simulated. In the second half of the thesis assembly and testing of PCB are described as well as functions of programs. Last chapter contains results of meassurement of power supply paramters.
