Bachelor thesis is focused on the use of the symbol in furniture design. The theoretical part is based on available sources of professional literature, discusses important requirements for furniture and describes issues of the symbol. In the theoretical part is specified and described a actual symbol (wolf), type of furniture object (seating element) and target group of users (pre-school children). This includes competitive market survey focused on described issues. The practical part consist of a design of a furniture object. Presentation of the design is in form of visualization, photographic documentation and a prototype in 1:1 scale.

The thesis deals with the design of a chair made of atypical material with a cross structure. The theoretical part describes the criteria for the creation of this type of fur-niture, including searches. The practical part captures the whole process of chair cre-ation through drawings, 3d model and production in the workroom. The resulting de-sign is captured in visualizations and two prototypes, as well as posters and promotional materials.

The intention of this bachelor’s study is design of atypical seat element. The content is systematic creation process to achieve desired objective. The study includes theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with introduction into private and public interior with focus on coffeehouse catering industry. Further the study follows with the chapter sitting issue which contents demands on sitting furniture, security, typology, ergonomy and antropometry. The theoretical part finishes with the chapturerecherche shortly including history and development incl. sitting furniture market research. In the practical part we met with working process of single design incl. outlines, visualisations, technical portrays and set up of final design for functional prototype.

This diploma thesis solves the problems in montage of classic bent chairs at TON a.s. company. The solutions are ergonomics of workplaces and equipment that are used. In thesis is described the procedure of racionalization of workplaces for chairs number 14 and 18. There are individual design of workplaces with final evaluation of variants.

Petr Havlena Title: Analysis of ergonomic sitting position and design of ergonomic seat for hemiparetic patients Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with sitting ergonomics and summarizes basic parameters of ergonomic chair, which are created for patients with hemiparesis. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part is described in detail the vascular supply of the brain, vascular disease, stroke and its clinical images. Furthermore, the concept of ergonomics is explained and the ergonomics of sitting are taken into account. The parameters for the ergonomic chair are based on the THERAPIA chair, so it is introduced in the theoretical part. In the practical part are processed two case reports of hemiparetic patients, which describe their sedation. The aim of this work is to create basic parameters of ergonomic chair for hemiparetic patients, which are based on studied ergonomics of the sitting and from the examination performed in patients. Chair. Project for lessons of art on 2nd grade primary school.

The presented master thesis on the project theme called The Chair, for art lessons on higher primary school is composed of two interconnected parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part, intended as a source of inspiration for the application of the topic in the educational process at the primary school, focuses on the characteristics of the seating furniture in the context of historical development and the chair as a motif in art. The practical part contains brief schema of project teaching, captures the preparatory and implementation phase, documentation and reflection of particular art lessons associated with the thematic unit of study. The master thesis contains a representative photographic documentation in the annex.

The task of the thesis is to design seating element for dynamic sitting using molded plywood. The theoretical part focuses on the history, ways of sitting, ergonomics and alternative seating. In the theoretical part, there is also chapter dedicated to the technology of production material selected for the design. The practical part deals with the design process. At first, there is compiled reseach, which is connected to a part of sketching and 3D design to find the right shape, which also takes place using simple models of 1: 5 and 1: 1. The results of the thesis are 3D visualizations of chairs for dynamic sitting, model of 1: 5 made of molded plywood and construction drawings for production of prototypes.

This bachelor thesis discussed in the theoretical field of the importance of interior design and its link with the patient in medical care. Specifically address the disposing layout, editing, and requirements for furniture in the diabetes clinic. Further proposes furniture element that added comfort in everyday use of outpatient facilities. The development of the two proposed designs, namely interior and furniture element is documented in the form of sketches. Thesis also includes visualization and computer drawings.

The task of the thesis is to design a new chair design with respect to current requirements for this type of furniture. The work is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part is at the beginning analyzed the history of design. The following chapters are focused on the theme of sitting, its negative consequences, alternative solutions and basic types of sitting positions, an overview of main dimensions, standards and materials that were used for the design. The second, practical part deals with the design process. At the start is compiled research focused mainly on the actual situation on the market and innovative design concepts of a chair. Work continues with finding own concept by sketches and 3D visualizations. The final phase is deticated to work on the selected concept, where are specified all details of the project from the dimensions and shape to manufacturing process and versions, including a fabrication of a model in 1: 4.
