Investment asset management comparable to fund management
Pivko, Petr ; Vybíral, Roman (referee)
4 Investment asset management comparable to fund management Abstract This thesis concerns the analysis of the legal regulation of the functioning of mini-funds, or persons according to Section 15 of Act No. 240/2013 Coll., on Investment Companies and Investment Funds. These are entities that can manage investment assets without requiring the relevant public authorisation granted by the Czech National Bank. The essence of their existence is the fact that they fulfil some of the characteristics of investment funds, although they are not investment funds. The popularity of the use of this institute in the context of collective investment escalated during the pandemic of the Covid-19 disease. In my thesis I analyse the rights and obligations linked with this management, the legal relations towards investors and also towards the Czech National Bank. The thesis consists of several parts, namely an introduction of the European legislation on which the Czech legislation is based, and the most important part, both in terms of its scope and significance, containing a description and analysis of the Czech legislation. The thesis also includes research on the domestic mini-fund market, where data representing a part of the market are presented and provide insight into, for example, how much assets mini-funds represent...
Position of Health-Related Design Among Architecture Professionals in Slovakia
Šimkovičová, Barbora ; Smatanová, Katarína
Human health has always played a vital role in shaping cities’ architecture and urban design. However, its importance has often been overshadowed by other pressing social and economic concerns since we only realise the significance of health when it is no longer taken for granted. This paper presents the findings of a study that aimed to assess the current standing of health in the architectural profession among built environment practitioners and architecture students, with a particular focus on the urban design part of the profession, emphasising the urgent need for greater attention to this critical issue in the field. The research identified three main findings. Firstly, research revealed that developers currently play the most proactive role in promoting health in the built environment. Secondly, the health-improving projects and initiatives are limited only to physical health. Last but not least, a clear definition of health and design guidelines that are currently absent could help address increased interest in health-related design in the future.
Real-time propojení senzorů pro navigaci
Kaczmarek, Adrian ; Rohm, Witold ; Klingbeil, Lasse ; Tchórzewski, Janusz
The development of satellite techniques in the field of precise positioning and the availability of mobile devices with a built-in multi-GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver allow us to determine positions with better accuracy than a dozen or so years ago. At the same time, there is a growing demand from users for more and more accurate positioning while reducing the costs of the final device (e.g., a navigation system for autonomous lawn mowers). This work presents the concept of a solution that integrates different positioning techniques: gyroscopes, odometers, and GNSS using a loosely coupled Kalman filter. The sensor integration model was developed for horizontal components (2D) with simultaneous determination of azimuth and precise position. Additionally, the integration filter uses a dynamic weight matrix, the values of which are selected depending on the type of GNSS solution (FIX, FLOAT, etc.). Tests of the measurement platform were carried out under ideal conditions and in places where the horizon is obscured (passes along a high wall, under openwork steel trusses, etc.). The accuracies obtained during tests using EKF and the dynamic weight matrix are RMS 0.019 m for the North and East components. However, the accuracy of the azimuth determination was 0.59°. In addition, the presentation will present a platform concept that integrates low-cost sensors in real time. This work was supported by Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland) under the project “POMOST” (grant no. N110/0002/22).
