Stabilization methods for unstable solutions of the discrete logistic equation
Fedorková, Lucie ; Tomášek, Petr (oponent) ; Čermák, Jan (vedoucí práce)
The master's thesis deals with a stabilization of a discrete logistic model via several control methods. In particular, the stabilization of equilibria, 2-period orbits and 3-period orbits is performed. For this stabilization purpose, a proportional feedback control, delayed feedback control and prediction based control are utilized. For each of the methods, the stabilization sets for a control gain parameter are derived together with stability ranges of corresponding controlled orbits. Each of the theoretical results is illustrated by a graphical interpretation created in the software MATLAB. The supporting computations are done by the software Maple.

Vanishing solutions of a second-order discrete non-linear equation of Emden-Fowler type
Diblík, J. ; Korobko, E.
The paper discusses a discrete equation of an Emden-Fowler type Δ2v(k) = -k3 (Δv(k))3 where v is a dependent variable, k is an integer-valued independent variable, Δv and Δ2v are the first and second-order forward differences of v, respectively. The paper aims to prove the existence of a nontrivial and vanishing solution for k ! 1. The equation is transformed into a system of two first-order difference equations, which makes it possible to apply previously known results when investigating the system.

Discrete Regular Variation and Difference Equations
Čaputa, Daniel ; Tomášek, Petr (oponent) ; Řehák, Pavel (vedoucí práce)
This thesis deals with the asymptotic analysis of a linear second-order difference equation using the theory of Karamata sequences. Properties of regularly varying sequences that are useful in asymptotic theory are gathered. Using a transformation of a difference equation into the dynamic equation on the appropriate time scale and proving a general result for the dynamic equation, the condition that guarantees a regular variation of the solution space of a difference equation is obtained. By the combination of the variety of techniques, asymptotic formulae are established and the solutions of the difference equation are classified into certain asymptotic classes.

Práce obsahuje podrobný rozbor některých vlastností prostorů posloupností, diskrétních verzí Leviho věty o monotónní konvergenci a Lebesgueovy věty o dominantní konvergenci a kritérií relativní kompaktnosti pro prostory posloupností.

Čtenáři poskytuje základní informace o transformaci Z a demonstruje její matematické aplikace. Předložený text podává některé charakterizace posloupností exponenciálního typu a definuje transformaci Z těchto posloupností. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
