Persecution of Jews in our Territory in the Years 1935 - 1942
ČERNÁ, Tereza
My dissertation focuses on the problem of the persecution of Jews in the years 1935-1942. This issue is being described in relation to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, as it is infamous for its Nuremberg race laws of 15 September 1935. By these laws Jewish inhabitans were marginalized, disinherited and expropriated and so new ground was broken for the Nazi to so called "final solution of the jewish issue". My dissertation tries to describe particular protectorate laws and statutory rules, which affected jewish lifes in such fatal way during this period. One of the important elements of my thesis is also an overview of the most vital sources of anti-Semitism throughout history. This overview culminates by the treatise on the theory of races, which represent the cornerstone of the Nazi ideology. The last chapter treats of emigration as the only possibility to escape from the Nazi terror and save one´s bare life.

LEPIČ, Jiří
In the submitted thesis the author focuses on the rising popularity of extremist political parties in the Czech Republic. The popularity growth of extremist political parties in the Czech Republic is proven by election results in recent years. Right-wing extremists{\crq} ``combat power{\crqq} growth is closely connected with the increasing number of their followers. Regional elections in 2008, in which the Labour Party achieved almost 29 thousand votes, which represents eight times more than the party had achieved in the previous elections in 2004, can be a proof of that. What is more, this party achieved 1.07% votes in the European Parliament elections and it surpassed the limit which is necessary for the state subsidy requisition. In the Theoretical Part the author deals with definitions of basic terms ``extreme{\crqq} and ``radical{\crqq}. Then he deals with the theoretical division of the political scene, from both the current point of view and the historical point of view, into the rights and the lefts. Then he attends to some terms which are closely associated with extremism, such as: nationalism, anti-Semitism and racism. In the Conclusion of the Theoretical Part the author focuses on the far rights and the far lefts. He pays attention to both the current representatives and to their predecessors of those extreme lines. In the Practical Part the author sets his targets and defines hypotheses and he also attends to the used research procedure there. The research was made via questionnaire investigations. Questions were focused on people{\crq}s opinions which are related to inadaptable citizens and extremism. There were also some questions which were focused on activities of those parties in the above mentioned fields, regarding the inadaptable citizens and extremism, which have their members in the Parliament of the Czech Republic. In the Practical part of the thesis the author also evaluates the observed results in light of respondents{\crq} achieved level of education. In the Discussion of the thesis the author compares the observed data with the knowledge of experts. He also focuses on divergent opinions of asked respondents, in connection with their achieved level of education. The thesis and the observed results could be used by general public interested in extremism in the Czech Republic. Besides, the thesis and the observed results could be used as a source of information to improve general knowledge about the scene of extremism and about the problems pertaining to the scene in the Czech Republic.

PATÁKOVÁ, Sabina
The purpose of the here presented degree thesis is the comparison of six memoirs, dealing with the "holocaust" phenomenon from the perspective of each single writer, with a critical eye on the way the experience has touched the author's sensibility. I have focused the attention on the latest works published on this particular matter. This graduation thesis is primarily based on Tzvetan Todorov's book "Facing the extreme: moral life in the concentration camps".

The bachelor thesis on the topic of Czech aryanisation and anti--semitism in thirties is describing, on the background of historical events, displays of hate against Jews in a period of liberal first republic and authoritarian second republic. The first chapter of this thesis follows activities of anti-semites and individual Jewish streams during the first republic. One part of this chapter is composed of author's analysis about a periodical named Vlajka, which was being published by a fascist organisation. In the second chapter, there are described fascist actions against Jews during the second republic and also anti-semitic exposures of the party Národní jednota. Besides, the chapter is also dealing with anti-semitic legislation. The last, third chapter is engaged in the problems of Czech aryanisation and tries to explain its rising illusion. The end of this chapter is also dealing with a historical period of Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, to explain the process of expropriation of Jewish properties in Czech lands. So the purpose of this bachelor thesis is to define how the Anti -- Semitism was expressed during thirties in Czech lands.
Relations of the The czech policy towards the Jews during the so called "Second Republic"
Golová, Denisa ; Rataj, Jan (advisor) ; Houda, Přemysl (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the changes in the czech policy towards the Jews during the transformation of the liberaly democratic and culturally tolerant so called "First Republic" into anti-semitic authoritarian regime of the "Second Republic" whose political representation accepted the conception of the race nation. The aim of this paperwork is to describe the changes taking place in the Second Republic from several angles. The first is the view of the Jews themselves to their coexistence with the majoritarian population in the Czechoslovakian First Republic and especially in the newly defined post-Munich state. Work in this section deals with the Jewish national ideologies, especially the Zionists and asimilants, and explains the specific situation of German Jews in the Czech society. The next chapter analyzes the political insight- the changes taking place within the state apparatus itself. At this point the concept of the conservative ideology of the far right is introduced. The far right together with the Czech fascists participated in the diversion of government policy from Masaryk's "humanistic democracy" to the authoritarian order and antiliberalisms of the Second republic. In its concept it gradually came to the racial state and biological anti-semitism. The third factor examined, which completes the whole situation on the background of the formation of the Second Republic and its anti-semitic policy, is the contemporary media's optics and commentary on the situation. In this chapter a image of the Jews created by the newspapers is presented. The final chapter is devoted to the antisemitic actions of the professional associations against Jewish race.
