The thesis deals with the Želiv Premonstrate Monastery and the fates of its members in the 1940s and 1950s. The introduction briefly outlines the history of the monastery and the Premonstrate Order. The central part of the thesis deals with the Želiv Monastery as a whole. It describes economic measures that were introduced against it by the Communist regime. It also generally describes the preparations for cancelling monasteries and the progress of this action directly in Želiv. The third part deals with the fate of the Želiv abbot Bohumil Vít Tajovský as well as with the fates of other members of the Želiv Monastery who were oppressed by the Communist regime.

The master thesis describes life of vicars capitular who lived in České Budějovice in the 20th century. It is specially aimed on Msgre Jan Cais and P. Josef Buchta. My thesis presents progress of St. Nicholas cathedral chapter house in České Budějovice. Readers can understand importance of chapter house at the time of validity Canonic Law Codex made in the year 1983. It shows how state intervened in the life of the Church. It also outlines circumstances of beginning this diocese. This diploma paper stands on archival documents as well as on testimonies of witnesses. It presents conclusions of prestigious historical works (historians) as well as less known sources.
Journal Katolické noviny between 1968 - 1989

This thesis describes, on selected themes in Katolické noviny Journal, how communistic behavior in Czech republic tried to controll public oppinion by abusing its contents. In investigated time period between 1968-1989 is shown, how government policies versus church were changing, as well as Czech state versus Vatican. Separate chapter displaying Biscups life, and how this life was reflected in Katolické noviny. Thesis also describes conteporary government founded and well supported {\clq}qstate church institutions`` operated in Czech Republic and their influence on journal content. This thesis tries to sketch out dilema of state between church relations.
