PIV technique for investigations of cryogenic helium flow
Blažková, Michaela ; Chagovets, Tymofiy ; Rotter, M. ; Schmoranzer, D. ; Skrbek, L.
We describe various aspects of cryogenic PIV technique and give examples of its successful application of various flows of cryogenic helium, with appropriately chosen of tracking particles such as hollow glass spheres, polymer microspheres or solid hydrogen-deuterium flakes.
HOT-WIRE PROBES FOR SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENT OF CONCENTRATION AND VELOCITY COMPONENT IN A BINARY GAS MIXTURE FLOW
Mazur, Oton ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Uruba, Václav
The paper contains a short description of two hot-element probes used in the past for simultaneous measurement of concentration and longitudinal velocity component in a binary gas mixture flow by a constant temperature anemometer. A three hot-wire probe, recently developed in the Institute of Thermomechanics AS CR, is described in more detail. It enables simultaneous measurement of the lateral velocity component in addition to the above mentioned quantities
Applicability Of The Heat-Transfer Law In Hot-Wire Anemometry
Antoš, Pavel
Paper deals with the heat transfer from the hot-wire to the fluid, namely at low overheats. Various heat-transfer laws for this case have been investigated. The use of generalized form of the Collis-Williams law for common probes at middle and low overheats has been discussed in detail.
