The study deals with Renaissance decoraton of the sepulchre of Bukůvkové of Bukůvky in Postřelmov, which belonged to a family that professed Unity of the Brethen. In 1930´s, the finish of its renovation became a demonstration of a Czech patriotism against the growing influence of Nazism.
History and ideological content of the crematorium in Czechoslovakia between two world wars

The author shows the interrelation between crematory and the cremation movement in the Czechoslovak Republic. The individual conceptions of the buildings were primarily influenced by the ideas of the Crematorium Association, which propagated this modern form of incineration. The author, on the basis of individual buildings, attends to show how concrete ideas influenced the conceptions of these modern "ceremonial" forms.

Epigraphic context of the Arabic numerals

The article deals with the beginning of the usage of the Arabic numerals on monuments or public buildings during the Middle Ages in Bohemia. Apart from the overall evaluation and methodical analysis (Jiří Roháček), the author points out two, relatively early, possible cases of the usage of the Arabic numerals in commemorative years in Hrusice in Bohemia and in Javor in Silesia (Dalibor Prix).

Article draws attention to the nearly unknown publications by Johannes Salver from Würzburg, published in the second decade of the 18th Century. There are surveys of church dignitaries in both cathedrals in Würzburg and Bamberg. Some comparisons are made between the preserved epitaphs and the physiognomy of personalities depicted in Salver´s books.

This article deals, simplifiedly, with the question, how should be appearance of epitaphs, comissioned by the archbishop of Prague Nicolaus Medek – the first one for his predecessor Antonin Brus of Mohelnice, the second for his brother, abbot in Znojmo and the third for himself, judging from the fact, that his epitaph is nearly identical with the gravestone of Brus.
