Realistic simulations joint replacement human joint
Franta, L. ; Pražák, Josef
Any artificial testing of joint replacement is considered as contribution significant to research in the field of joint replacements. The fundamental parameter, which influeces a length of survival, is an effective coefficient of friction, especially in low mutual speed of friction surfaces of joint replacements.
Some problems united with propagation R-waves in the thin orthotropic materials
Červ, Jan
There are some differences when Rayleigh waves propagate along the edge of a thin semi-infinite orthotropic medium made of laminate or metal crystallic structure. These differences are studied in the paper.
Stress waves in a thin strip with general orthotropy
Kroupa, T. ; Červ, Jan ; Laš, V.
The artical is aimed at numerical simulations of stress waves propagation in a thin orthotropic strip. Two different laminate materials are used due to comparison.
Nonstationary stress-state of a thin orthotropic plate under transverse impulse loading (Flügge and Timoshenko - Mindlin models )
Valeš, František ; Volek, J. ; Červ, Jan
The analytical solutions based on Flügge and Timoshenko-Midlin approximations of thin elastic orthortopic plate under transverse impulse load are discussed in the paper. the results are compared with those obtained by means of FEM.
Elastic waves in anisotropic plates
Hora, Petr ; Červená, Olga
Contributiondeals with description of general solution procedure of wave propagation inunbounded media, on the surface of a half-space and in an infinitely wideplate for anisotropic material. The algorithms of solution procedure for allof these cases are presented here.
Large model simulations in molecular dynamics problems
Pelikán, Vladimír ; Hora, Petr ; Machová, Anna
Molecular dynamics simulation is a well-established techniquefor modelling complex many-particle systems in diverse areas of physics andchemistry. The computational requirements of simulations of large systems, especially when taking into account long-range interactions, are enormous. Two basic tasks in molecular dynamics simulation are surface relaxation andheating. Both of these tasks are studied in this contribution.
Symetrický kontaktní algoritmus pro řešení dynamických rázových úloh
Gabriel, Dušan ; Plešek, Jiří
A three dimensional contact-impact algorithm based on the pre-discretization penalty method is presented. It is shown that the proposed method preserves a symmetric treatment of mutually contacting surfaces. The symmetry of the algorithm is tested by a dynamic contact problem when the impact of two cylinders as in the Taylor test is studied. Comparison of the proposed algorithm with the finite element code MARC is made.
Analytical, numerical and experimental analysis of Poynting´s effect coused by large torsion of a prismatic cylinder
Poživilová, Alena ; Plešek, Jiří
Poynting effect occurring at large torsion of prismatic bars is investigated. Results of analytical and numerical solutions are compared against recent experimental data.
