Representations of women in selected novels by Agatha Christie

The bachelor's thesis deals with the representations of female characters in selected detective novels written by Agatha Christie in order to find out whether and eventually how it reflects the historical reality in terms of the position of women in contemporary British society. The subject of research is works originating from various periods of the writer's authorship, namely from the 1930s and the 1970s. The focus of the work is the analysis of female characters in the books Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile, Nemesis and Elephants Can Remember focusing on the believability of the characters and the importance of their role in the story. Particular attention should be paid to the issue of the position of women in society and shifts in the perception of women's issues in the examined period.

Seddling of young horses

Seddling of young horses Elaborate the summary of the most used young horses saddling methods was the purpose of this work and highlight the benefits and shortcommings of individual methods in consequences to the theoretical cnowledge from the field of horse ethology and psychology. Except literal datas and published methodical procedures, my monitoring was another background material and this proceeded at the breeders facilities where they deal with young horses training and the other part of the work is the attitude illustration during seddling procedure. Within the whole time the horses from Specific estabilishment of the Southbohemian University in Budweis. The whole proces of observation was recordet on the camera and analyzed subsequently. The results involve the observation of nine horses in deferent phase of training and with using diferent seddling methods. It is obvious from the diferent methods sighting that the most significant part during the work with young horses is well-qualified and sensitive attitude suported by rich experiences and in the same time insist on natural sample of behaviour and actual psychical state of the horse.

The coronavirus epidemic and the audience of Mall.tv

This thesis is investigating the question of how and why there was a change in a viewership of the internet television Mall.tv during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic in spring 2020. While looking for an answer for this work, a quantitative analysis of internal data provided by Mall.tv is used. This all is processed with the help of statistical methods. Simultaneously, this work is testing the hypothesis, according to which the audience show #kulturažije could be the key factor influencing the transformation of the size and socio demographic composition. From the results of the analysis, it is clear that the audience was not changed during the spring and that major changes are visible after the spring wave. The hypothesis, which states that the show #kulturažije was supposed to bring more new users to the website, was not confirmed but it was found that impact of the project was rather marginal.

Zhodnocení růstové schopnosti telat na vybrané rodinné farmě

The Bachelor thesis deals with the growth ability of calves at a chosen family farm and it is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, significance of cattle bree-ding and meat yield indicators are defined, such as the fattening performance of fatted cattle and slaughter value. Furthermore, influences affecting meat yield are described including sex, breeding affiliation, stabling system, nutrition, feeding and other influen-ces. The second part of the work focuses on an experiment pursuing a chosen group of bulls that were given dairy as well as vegetable nutrition, weighted and observed, on the basis of which average daily growths are calculated. At the end of this study, it was found out that the farm achieves very favourable growths. When calves were given dai-ry nutrition, the growth reached 1.83 kg/day and when fattened intensively to gain higher slaughter weight, the growth was about 1.86 kg/day.

Formování trhu v rámci komoditní vertikály hovězího masa v České republice

The thesis evaluates the development and situation of the beef commodity vertical in the Czech Republic, identifying influential factors in the period 2000–2017. This thesis also focuses on the development of the market environment of the commodity chain of beef meat, the focus is on the cattle population and the commodity of beef meat in the Czech Republic in the set time horizon. Furthermore, analysis of the production and consumption of beef meat has been conducted with the connection to the tendencies of the demand and supply. Thereafter, a part of the thesis deals with the foreign trade with focus on export and import of cattle and beef meat where a dynamic development of the market in Turkey has been observed. In the last part of the thesis, the identification of the influences on the price level in the commodity chain has been done. Subsequently, an analysis of the development of the prices from the agriculture producers, the prices from the industry producers, the consumer prices and the index prices has been conducted in the time horizon in the years 2000 – 2017 with a follow-up analysis of the price transmission of the commodity chain of boneless front quarter beef meat and boneless hind quarter beef meat.

This diploma thesis deals with project management focusing on business development in company Continental Automotive Czech Republic s. r. o., plant Trutnov, with goal the aim of designing a suitable methodology for improving the proces of managing concruction projects. It focuses on a study one specific project. In this thesis are elaborated theoretical background, the analysis of current project management and the proposal of the methodology for the improvement of the management of the construction projects.

The role of inspection in forming the policy of increasing the quality of social services in the Czech Republic.

This thesis deals with the role of inspection in shaping the policy of increasing the quality of social services in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the provider, the founder and policy makers. The policy of improving the quality intentions and direction, which should lead to the identification of existing service levels, remedy identified problems and improve performance at different levels. The first part deals with general and specific quality concept in the market sector and in social services. The evaluation systems and quality management known from the commercial sector are presented and subsequently applied to the evaluation of the quality of social services. The practical part of my attempt is to answer the question, how inspection affects improving of policy-making quality of social services. The main method used is a case studies based on semi-structured interviews. In conclusion, the outputs describing the role of inspection from the perspective of individual actors are presented.
