Processing of selected species of edible insects for food purposes

This diploma thesis is focused on nutritional evaluation of selected insect powders from house crickets, yellow mealworms and lesser mealworms and of one insect-based food product, which was also developed as one of the aims of this work. In addition to basic nutritional analyzes, also ICP-OES for mineral composition and GC-FID for fatty acid composition were used. Also, the crude protein content, using CHNSO analyzer and content of EAA was determined. Using PCA analysis, samples of individual insect powders were successfully distinguished, which confirmed the diversity of individual insect species, and thanks to the projection into the plane of the principal components, it is possible to see in terms of which nutritional parameters they differ the most. Sensory analysis of the newly developed insect-based product with addition of lesser mealworm powder was also performed in comparison to competing products. The work also includes an extensive consumer survey on a sample of 2,019 participants, concerning the perception of entomophagy in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which was conducted online.

Diplomová práce se zabývá zpracováním podnikatelského plánu pro založení kavárny. V teoretické části jsou popsány obecné předpoklady a podmínky pro založení firmy a obecná struktura podnikatelského plánu. V praktické části jsou provedeny základní analýzy vnitřního i vnějšího prostředí. Dále je popsán celý podnikatelský záměr - marketingový mix, finanční plán a časový harmonogram realizace plánované kavárny. Na konci je celý plán zhodnocen a připraven k realizaci.

Study of macerates of selected plant materials in oily bases

The aim of this thesis was in terms of literary research describe the composition, production, impact on human health and diverse uses of vegetable oils and their herbal macerates in human life. Herbal oil macerates are actually a blend of oils and herbs, created to produce a product that combines the beneficial effects of oils with therapeutic effects of herbs. Avocado and almond oil were used in combination with herbs such as black elder, chinese tea tree and ginger. Each herb also affects to some extent the quality of oil, which was observed in the time dependence of acid number in herbal macerates compared to pure oils. The acidity of the oil is also significantly influenced by temperature and therefore one set of samples was macerated at room temperature and the other in a thermostate at 35°C. The time dependencies of the acidity number of the individual oils and macerates were plotted into graphs and compared. In most cases, the thermostate-stored oils and macerates obtained higher acidity than those stored at room temperature. The effect of the herbs on the acidity of the oil varied in the different types of macerates, with the highest acidity values being taken by macerates with black elder flowers and the lowest, most similar to pure oils, by macerates with black elder fruits. At the end of the experiment, total and free fatty acids from the last sampling (after 77 days of extraction) of macerates and oils at room temperature were analysed by gas chromatography. Again, there were some differences in the composition of total and free fatty acids in herbal macerates compared to pure oils. Some herbs affect the composition of individual fatty acids more, others do not affect it almost at all.

Optimalizace výrobního procesu pomocí diskrétní simulace

Diplomová práce řeší použití diskrétní simulace pomocí simulačního softwaru Witness jako nástroje pro podporu a rozhodování výrobního procesu ve firmě ECKELMANN s.r.o. Práce stručně seznamuje s problematikou modelování a simulace podnikových procesů. Vytvoření modelu reálného výrobního procesu a jeho následná optimalizace nám pomůže zmapovat procesy, které ve firmě probíhají a umožní tak odhalení silných a slabých stránek.

Simulation of routing protocols in ns3 simulation environment

The first part of thesis is about networks that are divided based on area. It includes also basic characteristic of Manet networks. The next chapter is about distribution of routing protocols into preactive, reactive, hybrid. In the simulation, there is comparison of 3 routing protocols, which are described in this chapter. The simulation is performed in program called Ns-3, more specifically in version 3.14. In the third chapter, this network simulator is described more closely. Here is also mentioned its continuity on previous version Ns-2. The goal of this simulation is to create a network with implemented routing protocols and with certain number of nodes, which has configured mobility, so the network looks like Manet network as much as possible. There are also 2 applications created, which were used to determine the delay for each routing protocol. Another part of thesis is about implementation of the quality of service (QoS) and energy model for each routing protocol. Energy model was used to calculate the remaining energy of node. Next activity summarizes how the implementation of QoS changed delay for used applications and how it changed the energy consumption of a node. The result of thesis is that the voice applications was preferred after the QoS implementation. The value of delay increased for ftp application. Percentually, the improvement for voice traffic was 30-31 %. The increase of delay was percentually 7-19 %. The difference in remaining energy after QoS implementation was about 1%. The actual amount of battery in the beginning of simulation was 1 J.

Implementace standardu IEEE 802.11ah pro přenos M2M dat

Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá implementáciou štandardu IEEE 802.11ah do sieťového simulátora NS-3 (Network Simulator). V úvodnej časti diplomovej práce je opísaná M2M komunikácia, na ktorú by bol štandard IEEE 802.11ah vhodný. M2M komunikácia sa postupne viacej využíva v spoločnosti, preto je snaha o vytvorenie nového štandardu na tento typ komunikácie. V práci je uvedená charakteristika tohto štandardu na základe dosiaľ dostupných špecifikácií, ktoré vydáva skupina TGah (Task Group ah). V tejto práci sú vykonané zmeny v NS-3 na podporu tohto štandardu. Následne je vytvorený scenár so základnou topológiou v NS-3 s využitím štandardu IEEE 802.11ah, kde sa testuje funkčnosť štandardu. Výsledkom práce je opis vykonaných zmien a analýza výstupných súborov vytvorených v rámci simulácie.
