The Proposal of Coal Mill system for Boiler PK 4S

The aim of this thesis is the proposal of a coal mill system and a combustion chamber for the boiler PK 4S situated in Košice CHP station with regard to transition to the new fuel. This proposal is focused on the elimination of NOx emissions. The calculation is based on required parameters of the boiler and declared characteristic of the new fuel. The proposal of the coal mill system includes three roller mills working in closed circuit with direct blowing. One of the mills serves as a reserve in case of failure. Dimensions of the dry bottom combustion chamber are proposed considering the applied primary measures to reduce NOx emissions so that the temperature at the end of the furnace would not be higher than maximal allowed temperature 1200 °C.

The subject of the master thesis is the determination of process and implementation measures within energy management with a focus on compressed air consumption and leakage in pneumatic production systems. In cooperation with the company SMC Industrial Automation CZ s.r.o., the methodology of compressed air leakage detection using an ultrasound-based device was applied in an unnamed manufacturing company focusing on pneumatic production systems, which consist of twelve separate production lines. Measuring of the technical status of each production line, evaluation of the data, determination of measures and recommendations leading to minimization of operating costs. Comparison of leakage measurement methods and cost reduction opportunities for compressed air consumption.

The subject matter of the bachelor thesis is the comparison of software for visualization of automated processes, particularly in the field of pneumatics and electropneumatics in an existing handling system, which is designed from industrial pneumatic and electropneumatic elements. The bachelor thesis deals with the individual steps in the design of an automated process in a visualization program, the determination of methods and procedures for measurement and its comparison with a real circuit. Subsequently, the work is focused on the evaluation and comparison of measured real values with theoretical values obtained from the visualization program.
