Animotherapy for children and adolescents with combined disabilities

1 Summary This bachelor's thesis deals with the question of whether animotherapy is a beneficial and meaningful part of comprehensive rehabilitation care for children and adolescents with combined disabilities. The goal was to evaluate whether this method contributes to the fulfillment of the set therapeutic goals. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the basic principles, ideas and approaches of zootherapy, its basic division and how the individual methods developed and what their uses are. Furthermore, this section outlines the issue of combined disability and mentions some studies dealing with similar issues. The research and practical part of the work was created in the Zahrada Integration Center with the participation of the entire multidisciplinary team in cooperation with the families of the participating children. Data collection took place in the form of a questionnaire and a recording of a kinesiological examination, then the evaluation was carried out using the Goal Attainment Scale method. From the evaluation of the results in the individual areas, it is therefore possible to state that in the motor area the condition improved in almost 2/3 of the cases and the condition did not deteriorate even once.
