Vliv umělé mykorhizace na odrůstání kultur smrku ztepilého

The diploma thesis deals with the effect of artificial mycorrhization on the growth and on the development of the root system of Picea abies (L.) Karst. cultures. The thesis was conducted at 2 sites under the administration of the Vojenské lesy a statky ČR, s.p., division Lipník nad Bečvou, that were afforested in 2012 and 2013. Every site was divided into 2 parts of the same area. One of the parts was afforested with the use of the mycorrhizal preparation Ectovit and the fertiliser Vápnitý dolomit. The effect of preparations on the above-ground part of trees was evaluated on 210 sample trees at every site. The effect of preparations on roots was evaluated on 10 sample trees. Following parameters were assessed for every sample: the height of the tree; the thickness of root collar; height increments; length of needles; the damage caused by biotic or abiotic factors; number, thickness and length of both horizontal and vertical roots; the number of fine roots; the weight of dry mass of both fine and coarse roots; branching index of fine roots and the specific length of fine roots. Unfortunately, one site had to be omitted from further evaluation of effects on the roots due to the high occurrence of root deformations. The measurement was carried out in June and July 2016. As regards the above-ground part, the research has not proved significant positive effect of preparations. The differences in height increments speak in some cases for, however in some cases against the application of preparations. The lengths of needles were in some years shorter at the sites with preparations and thus may indicate even negative effects of preparations. Regarding root system, a difference was found out only in the case of branching index. No difference was identified for other parameters of the trees on the check and on the test site. Some parameters (e.g. height increments), however, might be considerably influenced by the damage caused by wildlife or by other factors (e.g. heavily stony soil in some parts of the sites). Last but not least, the thesis formulates recommendations regarding the future use of preparations within the company VLS Lipník nad Bečvou.

Projekt obnovy kalamitních holin a chřadnoucích porostů smrku ztepilého

The bachelor thesis deals with the reconstruction of calamity clear-cuts and of weakened Picea abies (L., Karsten, 1881) stands at the chosen locality of VLS Lipník nad Bečvou - the forest district called Anglické parky situated in the southeast of the Libavá. The first part of the thesis describes the chosen locality, including the analyses of the current state of stands. The next part of the thesis outlines and analyses potential causes and stressing factors leading to the current state of the locality under reconstruction. The experimental part of the thesis lies in the complete design of the clear-cuts reconstruction consisting of the preparation of the stand, wood species design, afforestation procedure and subsequent tending measures. The experimental part further suggests steps in the individual forest stand groups in order to increase the stability of the forest district Anglické parky. Last but not least, the thesis deals with the economic side of the project focused on the direct economic costs. To provide comparison, the costs are in the case of two chosen clear-cuts elaborated in two options - the option with fencing of chosen clear-cuts and the option without fencing.

Information Systems in Firms - Application in the Firm Meopta-Optics Ltd.

Thesis deals with information and communication technologies, specifically their position and influence on the world economy. Further work is focused on the description and the need for information systems in business, characteristics of information systems and some system modules. Specifically the work focuses on the process of implementing an information system in business, both theoretically and then practically. The whole process is shown in the example situational manufacturing company Meopta -- Optics, Inc. Because of the necessity to integrate the new system with existing systems I present an overview of existing systems as well. In parallel with this issue is mentioned the process of implementing a new system within the existing innovation system, the transition to a new version of IS. The goal is to highlight the role of ICT in the global economy. Further work is directed specifically at the theoretical description and practical demonstration of the functionality of information systems and their implementation in the company in case of new IS, or innovation of the existing IS transition to the new version. The source of information for the bachelor's work was mainly specialist literature and attending lectures in the field of ICT. Furthermore I used website focused on the issue. Finally I used to consultation with the supervisor and experts from the company Meopta -- Optics, Inc.
