Detection of a reinforcing rod and an inner cavity in thick-walled concrete block by laser vibrometry
Trnka, Jan ; Dvořáková, Pavla ; Veselý, Eduard
The report aims to detect artificially made fatigues in a concrete block by impact-echo method. The impact was generated by a steel ball and the response was detected by the laser vibrometer.
Material characterization of polymers (polyurethane, epoxy) by accelorometers and laser vibrometer
Trnka, Jan ; Dvořáková, Pavla ; Veselý, Eduard
The report aims to determine the dynamic characterization of polymers - epoxy and polyurethane. Dynamic transient events were generated both by an acoustic wave and by a steel-ball impact. Miniature accelerometers and a laser vibrometer were used to detect the material's response.
Non-destructive Testing of Concrete Structures by Laser Vibrometry
Trnka, Jan ; Dvořáková, Pavla ; Veselý, Eduard
The reasearch report deals with non-destructive testing of concrete structures by Laser Vibrometry. The aim of the work was to find pros and cons of an application of laser vibrometry for detection failures in concrete structures.
Holography and Interferometry Measurement of Wave Propagation in Thin-Walled Shell with Simple Defect
Trnka, Jan ; Dvořáková, Pavla ; Veselý, Eduard
The paper deals with an interpretation of non-stationary phenomena occuring in impacted thin-walled shell with a simple defect. The electromagnetic pulse generator is used to generate stress wave. The response on this loading are analysed by means of the hybrid diagnostics method, consisting in simultaneous application of the double pulse holointerferometry and laservibrometry.
Transient loading of thinůwalled structures by electromagnetic impulse generator
Veselý, Eduard ; Trnka, Jan
The paper deals with the use of electromagnetic generator to dynamically load thin shells and plates. The generated stress wave patterns in models loaded with this equipment have been recorded by a double pulse holointerferometry. The device operates by discharge of a high-energy, high-voltage capacitor bank and enables transient loading of models along straight and curved boundaries.
Fundamental dynamic characteristics of human skull
Horáček, Jaromír ; Pešek, Luděk ; Trnka, Jan ; Veselý, Jan ; Veselý, Eduard ; Vohradník, M. ; Vokřál, J.
The contribution presents experimental investigation of the frequency modal, damping and stress wave propagation characteristics and finite element (FE) modelling of the basic dynamic properties of the human skull. Original experimental results of the modal analysis as well as the laserinterferometry and double pulse holorinterferometry measurements after impact loading are presented. The frequency and time dependent transfer functions between selected, anthropologically important points on the skull are studied.
Modelling of brain tissue influence on wave propagation i human skull after impact loading
Pešek, Luděk ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Trnka, Jan ; Veselý, Eduard
The contribution deals with the analysis of wawe propagation in human skull filled by a folling which simulates the brain tissue. The results are compared with the original experimental data, which where obtained by the laser- Doppler anemometry and the double pulse holointerferometry.
Guided wave problems were studied by numerical and experimental methods
Kačor, Aleš ; Trnka, Jan ; Veselý, Eduard
Finite element method was used to analyze guided wave propagation in a thin steel plate. Numerical results were compared with experimental data obtained by double pulse holointerferometry.
Numerické a experimentální řešení napjatosti modelu kontejneru při pádové zkoušce /Z 1282/00/
Valeš, František ; Tikal, B. ; Nonner, Pavel ; Veselý, Eduard ; Červ, Jan
Results of experimental and numerical research of a container stress state caused by both container fall on a steel plate and ball projectile shooting on one of container faces.
Dynamic behaviour of the human skull
Horáček, Jaromír ; Veselý, Jan ; Trnka, Jan ; Veselý, Eduard ; Vohradník, M.
Original experimental results of the vibration modal analysis, time-average and double pulse holography measurement of the human skull are presented. Two different skulls were tested in the laboratory and the results of both measurements are compared. The influence of the soft tissues was modelled as well.
