Use of acoustic emission technology to assess corrosion of materials
Procházka, Adam ; Vašíková, Simona (referee) ; Binar, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the description of acoustic emission as a non-destructive testing method and its use in the detection of material corrosion. The first part describes the theoretical principles dealing with the explanation of what acoustic emission is, how it is defined according to the standard, what are the types of acoustic emission and how it is tested. It then discusses corrosion, the types of corrosive environments where corrosion occurs and the types of corrosion tests. It also describes where acoustic emission has been used in practice and what experiments it has been used for in terms of material monitoring. The next part of the paper describes the experiment of acoustic emission measurement on grey cast iron samples, describes the fabrication of the samples, the use of corrosion protectors, and the placement of the samples in a condensation chamber for continuous testing. The last part is the evaluation of the results .
Modern CNC machines and their development
Vašíková, Simona ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the beginnings of NC and CNC machines from the perspective of historical years, where are included also general information and construction of the most famous machines from history. Also there is their further development, including control system manufacturers and their brief history. The mention of the production of these machines from the perspective of the Czech Republic is included. Part of the thesis is also the division of the current CNC machines according to the type of machined products and the technology together with a sample of 2 selected CNC machines. There is a division of CNC machined parts and evaluation of the use of CNC machines in production. There are the advantages of CNC machines, their accessories and a simple NC program including a product drawing. In discussion there are current technologies in industry, logistics and construction, as well as the current state and attempts to predict future developments.
Evaluation of the use of non-destructive methods of acoustic emission on materials
Vašíková, Simona ; Zimáková, Jana (referee) ; Binar, Tomáš (advisor)
This master thesis is about acoustic emission itself and acoustic emission as a nondestructive method of testing materials. There are different types of metal materials corrosion too. In this thesis is possible also find corrosion protective methods. There are practical examples of use the acoustic emission method at metal materials corrosion from automotive, aviation, food processing and manufacturing industry with construction and civil engineering examples. The experimental part is focused on samples preparing and measuring the acoustic emission signals during continual corrosion process of grey cast iron in condensational corrosion chamber. These results are supported and completed with metallographic analysis.
Ensuring and Control of Cutting Tools for CNC Machines
Vašíková, Simona ; Šedivý, Vladimír (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the methods to ensure and control of a group of cutting tools and analysis of their consumption for production of stainless steel piston rods by the CNC multifunction machine and other additional machines needed for the production of this components. Theoretical bases are elaborated both from a technical and an economic point of view. Several possible solutions to the satisfaction of both business and customers are proposed.
