VOJČOVÁ, Aneta
This bachelor thesis takes interest in mental hygiene of social workers working with clients with mental illnesses. I have been focused on facility Domov Libníč, where I had a practice for two weeks in the second grade and I chose the same facility again in the third year. Aim of this bachelor thesis is to reveal which kind of mental hygiene techniques are used by social workers in Domov Libníč and highlight that mental hygiene is very important in life of social workers. The main reason is that social work is very demanding especially on balance of mental health. Non-use of mental hygiene make impossible for social workers to do their work with clients effectively and this can lead to burnout, which is threatens in this profession. In theoretical part I have been focused on a relevance of supervision, which is very important part of mental balance, burnout syndrome, but mainly mental hygiene and its methods and applications. The research survey was processed by qualitative research using a method of interviewing, more specifically using semi-standardized interview with social workers. I received information from social workers which kind of techniques of mental hygiene they use. For my research, it is essential, whether application mental hygiene and supervision help against stress and burnout. I also asked social workers if they have any solutions, how their work in facility could be less stressful. At the end of my thesis I could see the results and that is that the social workers use lots of types of methods of mental hygiene which help them to stay in mental balance. They even use individual supervisions which are offered by leaders of facilities because the group ones don't suit them due distrust between each other's.
