What do preschool children expect from school
VAVŘINCOVÁ, Aneta
This bachelor thesis deals with the children of pre-school age and their readiness for elementary school. It is mainly focused on the child and the child's expectations and ideas about school. The theoretical part contains a chapter in which a brief general characterization of a pre-school child is provided. The next chapter describes elementary school maturity and the factors that influence it. In the research part, quantitative research methods are used. This part is targeted at children who were enrolled for elementary school and have their own expectations about entering school in September. The goal of the research is to find out whether the children are looking forward to entering school and what are their expectations. Another part of the research is to analyze whether the children's parents and relatives influence their expectations, and if so, whether they arouse excitement or fear in the children.
