Security of Web Portals in Public Administration

The thesis is concerned with the issues of web portals security which are operated by the public sector in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes the basic terms and principles of public administrative with an emphasis on the computerization of the public administrative (or so called the eGovernment). In connection with the cybernetic security act there are described the standards of the information security management system ISO/IEC27001 and ISO/IEC27002 and the current OWASP methodology, which is focused on the area of web application´s security. Furthermore there is formulated the specific methodology of testing the web portal´s security of municipalities in the Czech Republic, the identification of weaknesses and interpretation of the ascertained outcomes. The methodology is verified within the case study of web portal´s security testing of particular municipalities. The established outcomes are documented, evaluated and the owners of web portals are given the recommendations to improve the level of their application´s security.
Application of Business Intelligence in Private and Public Sector

The diploma thesis focuses on the present state of Application of Business Intelligence (BI) in Private and Public Sector in the Czech Republic. The first part of this thesis is theoretically oriented and describes the BI evolution, finds its present definition and specifies the relationship to the related fields a branches. There are identified the BI users and there is also described the position of BI in IS/ICT in the organization. After that follows the description of the principles of BI, it means that the components are taken to pieces. The final part shows the possible comprehensive BI solution. The second part is practice-oriented and explores the present state of application of BI in private and public sector and describes the expected BI evolution until 2020. The thesis deals with the potential application of BI and possibilities how to obtain the subsidies from the EU for its implementation in each sector. After that there are described the barriers to implementation of BI and shown some specific examples of significant software solutions in these sectors. Then there are summarized the main differences in application of BI in each sector. The final part focuses on the on-line application research and its evaluation. The diploma thesis shows, why the BI is one of the most perspective business informatics areas. The thesis is also high-quality typographically elaborated.
Interception of network traffic

The bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of security breaches of network communication and principles of its interception. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part, which contains the principles of computer networking and describes the methods of hacking into the network, and on the practical part, which demonstrates capturing of data using the methods described above. There is also shown the danger of using unencrypted protocols. Program called Ettercap was used for this demonstrations and for the interception of data was used program called Wireshark.
Web Analytics - Development of web applications for managing accounts in Google Analytics

The first part deals with particular knowledge about web analytics and issues connected with web analytics such as segmentation, cookies, metrics, dimensions, KPIs, and lastly, gives an analytical tool Google Analytics. This bachelor thesis describes implementation of the tracking code to setting a basic structure of the instrument in terms of the account and the application interface. The practical part is focused on creating a web application to manage accounts in Google Analytics. Creation is described from graphic and wireframe design to launching the application in a browser. The contribution of this work is especially for new users of Google Analytics, saving time by several days. This is the automation of setting up filters by created application that can handle a few seconds to upload filters to the selected Google Analytics account, preformed filters, which resolves duplicates, SPAM bots and transparency of data.
VoIP Performance Management and Optimization

The diploma thesis focuses on the VoIP technology optimization and performance management. The diploma thesis presents the theoretical basis of IP telephony and measurement of its quality. The thesis primarily deals with practical measurements of VoIP calls quality. Asterisk softswitch, various types of IP phones and simulated degradation of signal using Linux software router are used for measurements. Procedural diagram of VoIP technology real deployment is designed based on these measurements.
Data security on the Internet

This thesis deals with the issue of data security on the Internet, especially the safety of users, who come into contact with the payments on the Internet. The thesis is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines terms related to data security on the Internet. It is followed by the introduction of necessary terms with explanations of these issues. The theoretical part includes an analysis of the safety of users of the Internet and their knowledge of the issues of data security. The practical part deals with a design of UI specifications for a safe charging of funds into the information payment system. The users in this payment system will be able to top up funds via their credit cards, premium SMS texts and classic cash payments.
Web application programming in Java

This bachelor thesis describes a basic technologies of Java EE, which is, used for programming web and enterprise applications. The theoretical part provides a brief overview of the platform, compared to competitors or HTTP protocol. Further, it is deeply discussed servlet technology, serving as a controller in a three-tier architecture. I have devoted to dynamically generated pages called Java Server Pages. Finally, the theoretical part, I described the basic aspects of Java Server Faces. All discussed topics I added illustrative examples. In the practical part is devoted to developing an application that serves as an evidence of repository. I describe what it has application functions and graphical interface.
