Title: The effect of kinesio tape on the area of knee on locomotor activity in patients after stroke Abstract: This bachelor thesis is focused on evaluating the effect of kinesio tape on locomotor activity in patients after stroke. The purpose of this thesis is to compare quality of stereotype of the gait of this patients before and after application of kinesio tape on the area of the knee joint. The theoretical part includes detailed information on kinesio tape, its characteristics, its effects on the human body and how to use it in practice. The issue of stroke is outlined only marginally, mainly describes the clinical picture of patients with this disease. The pathologic gait of these patients is more discussed in more datail in the next charter, which deals with walking, its kinesiology and its neurophysiology. The following section deals with the anatomy of the knee joint and again is described the problem in this area of patients after stroke. The practical part is used the knowledge of the theoretical part. It contains three case reports of three patients, who had kinesio tape applied to the posterior side of knee joint, popliteal fossa and the ventral side of the thigh, over m. vastus lateralis.
