Tóthová Š. Social costs induced by Vodochody airport. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. This work deals with the expected impact of extending Vodochody airport to surrounding communities. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to quantify social costs induced by the key negative externality, which is noise. Research from the first study reveals possible drops in house prices by 9.2% at 2.5 miles from the airport. By exceeding the hygienic noise limit of 55 dB, apartment prices in the second study will be reduced by 1.116% per decibel, and the third study will cause values to drop by 2.3% in the 55-65 dB noise band. The total price of flats in the municipality was calculated using the residential area in the municipality and the average price for apartments in the districts of Prague - East and Mělník.
