Gas sensors based on diamond heterostructures for air quality monitoring
Kočí, Michal ; Szabó, Ondrej ; Izsák, T. ; Sojková, M. ; Godzierz, M. ; Wróbel, P. ; Husák, M. ; Kromka, Alexander
Currently, great emphasis is placed on air quality and the presence of pollutants. Attention is therefore focused on new gas-sensing materials enabling detection even at low (up to room) temperatures with sufficient response and short reaction time. Here, we investigate the suitability of H-NCD films and their heterostructures with MoS2, GO, rGO, SH-GO, or Au NPs for gas sensing applications. Electrical properties are measured for oxidizing gas NO2, reducing gas NH3, and chemical vapor of ethanol, and at temperatures varied from room temperature to 125 °C. In contrast to the individual forms of employed materials with limited response to the exposed gases, the HNCD heterostructures revealed better sensing properties. In particular, the Au NPs/H-NCD heterostructures revealed a higher response at 125 °C in contrast to H-NCD, MoS2/H-NCD had quite good response even at room temperature and GO/H-NCD revealed high sensitivity to chemical vapor, which further improved for the SH-GO/HNCD.
Representation of Mental Illness in Young Adult Literature
SOJKOVÁ, Michaela
The bachelor thesis looks into the representation of psychological disorders in the Young Adult literature. This kind of literary text is targeted primarily at readers within the age group of 12-18 year-olds, but nowadays it is becoming more and more popular among readers of all ages. The thesis researches the motifs of psychological disorders in Young Adult literature, especially the authenticity of representation given the specifics of disorders, and also from the viewpoint of depicting function in the scope of literary text. However, the central theme is a cultural view of how socially taboo topics are represented in literature for adolescent readers, for whom these representations can play key role in an identification of their own troubles and identity.

Nowadays, 2D materials are one of the most studied classes of materials. In addition to the most famous graphene, progress has been achieved in studying and using fundamental properties of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD). Complementary, diamond as a representative of 3D materials has gained a reputation as an extremely versatile material due to its extraordinary combination of physical/chemical/electrical/optical properties. Besides these particular forms of 2D and 3D materials, their heterostructures have become very attractive due to new phenomena and functions (bandgap engineering, enhanced charge transport, optical interaction, etc.). However, individual technological procedures are still minimally investigated and described. Here, we will demonstrate a proof-of-concept for the preparation of MoS2/diamond heterostructures, where two different strategies were employed: a) growth of MoS2 layers on diamond films, and b) growth of diamond films on Si/MoS2 substrates.
Risk of Thromboembolic Disease in Women
Luksová, Veronika ; Sojková, Monika (advisor) ; Kocík, Miroslav (referee)
In the theoretical part of my thesis I define the illness, venous thromboembolic disease. The theoretical principles are used to determine the risks of the disease onset in women, primarily focused on the risk related to the hormonal contraception usage and the hormone replacement therapy. Attention is paid to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the DVT as well. In the following chapters the readers will be apprised with the treatment procedures, primarily from the nursing care perspective. The theoretical part of the thesis will be concluded with the casuistry of patient who suffers the thromboembolic disease and who was in my personal nursing care. The empirical part of my thesis is aimed on the qualitative and related quantitative research, which will be carry out by the help of the questionnaire. The questionnaire is based on the outcoume of the data analysis (casuistry) gained at the Clinic of Cardiology, FN Motol. The questionnaire is distributed and determined for wide group of women from non-medical environment (layman). The results of my research are giving the respons on the thesis's goals and hypotheses. The maion goal of my thesis is to define the women awareness of thromboembolic disease risks, in connection with the hormonal contraception usage and the hormone replacement...
Automated external defibrillators in theory and practice
Burianová, Lucie ; Sojková, Monika (advisor) ; Heczková, Jana (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the treatment and importance of location Automated external defibrillators in the particular units of Integrated Rescue System. In the theoretical part I describe basic anatomy and physiology of heart, patophysiology of selected cardiac arrhythmias. The largest part is devoted to Automated external defibrillators. In the several parts I explain philosophy of defibrillators, description of instruments, indication and contraindication of use, correctly use of defibrillators, the pros and cons their use in basic life support. In this bachelor thesis I write history of defibrillation and Automated external defibrillators. I mention studies, which were performed on this topic. In the practical part the quantitative method was used in the form of anonymous questionnaires. The survey was conducted at the particular units of Integrated Rescue System.
The Specifics of Nursing Care for Patients after Resection of the Tongue on Oral Suregery Department
Havlínová, Petra ; Sojková, Monika (advisor) ; Hocková, Jana (referee)
This thesis deal swith the specifics of nursing care for patiens with a resected tongue in the oral surgery department. The objectives of this work include focusing on the basics of care for patiens after a tongue resection and the most common problems nurses may encounter hen caring for these patients. The work consists of two parts: the theoretical and empirici parts. The theoretical part describes the field of dentistry and oral surgery, anatomy and physiology of the oral cavity. It also deals with orofacial surgery and the actual tongue resection procedure with a focus on nursing care for patiens after wards. In other chapters of the theoretical part we can read about the most common nursing problems in patiens after a tongue resection. In addition, the twelve patterns of health in Marjory Gordon's nursing model will be described for the empirical section. The empirical part is devoted to the research investigation. The thesis describes the metodology and organization of the research investigation. This was a qualitative research, the method of data collection was to create three case reports or case studies with follow discussion. Key words Carcinoma of the tongue, Tongue resection, Oral surgery, Dental care, Nursing care
Intra Aortic Balloon Counterpulsation from the Perspektive of Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit of Cardiac Surgery
Ebertová, Barbora ; Sojková, Monika (advisor) ; Kukol, Václav (referee)
The thesis is focused on the intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation (IABP) from the perspective of nurses in the cardiac intensive care. It consists of two parts. Theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part will deal with the intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, including basic anatomy of the heart and blood vessels, the principle of IABC, its indications, contraindications, technology IABC and specific nursing care of patients with established IABC. The empirical part is treated as quantitative research, which is used for the data collection method anonymous questionnaire. The aim of the thesis is to determine nurses' knowledge of IABC in the cardiac intensive care and subsequent drafting of guidance for postoperative cardiac surgery department KARIM University, Prague. In this section are also included important questions and answers from the perspective of the specified variables obtained from the questionnaire and subsequent actions arising in practice. Key words Counterpulsation, Cardiac cycle, Aorta, Heart, Nursing care
Development of reading skills in classes German as foreign language for adults
Sojková, Martina ; Berglová, Eva (advisor) ; Dovalil, Vít (referee)
The central theme of this thesis is the development of reading skills in German as a foreign language classes for adults. Accordingly to this, there is a chapter dealing with the specifics of adult education with stress laid on motivation as an important factor. The reading in general and reading as a didactic subject are other main töpics of this thesis. These are followed by shorter items on the issue "reading" after European Framework of Reference for Languages and the levels apportionment and description of this directory. Further comes a chapter dealing with the issue "text" . Owing to discover how are readers used to work with texts in foreign language a small research was done. In the final part were 6 textbooks, which are intended for teach adults German language, evaluated regarding the development of reading skills.
