The second aim was to identify the differences in the various areas of Czech region, specifically the high concentration of settlements with a predominately tourist and recreational function, where the research was conducted within the grant project. The research was carried out on using a field survey and questionnaire. The Second World War played an important role in shaping regional identity, particularly because of forced displacements and its use as a training ground of the SS.
