Mathematical modeling systems and it’s mutual comparison
Sharifullina, Dilyara ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Bisová, Sára (referee)
The purpose of this work is to get the reader acquainted with the possibilities of usage of the modeling systems in solving the real optimization problems. The attention will be paid especially to the problems of linear programming, but the market of software offers also the solution of nonlinear problems including integer constraints. The survey of the linear programming software market including a more detailed acquaintance with such modeling systems as LINGO, MPL Modeling System, AIMMS, AMPL, GAMS, CPLEX Optimization Studio and Xpress Optimization Suite is presented in the second part of the thesis, that are considered to be the most powerful from the all offers. Then a solution of an example of a real problem including the representation of the problem in the system's modeling language and interpretation of the outputs will be demonstrated by mentioning the problem of working in the system easier by using Ms Excel spreadsheet application. The final part is dedicated to the comparison between the systems mentioned earlier with the purpose of rating the conveniences of their usage from a general user's point of view.
