Process engineering of Public administration - the PARMA project
Schwarzkopf, Dan ; Řepa, Václav (advisor) ; Havelka, Zdeněk (referee)
The Parma project deals with process (re)engineering of public administration. In the first phase the project focused on mapping the processes of a local authority. Then the key processes were set and the project moved to the reengineering phase. This thesis shows that the matter is much more complicated and goes beyond public administration as such. The process perspective allows to create many different processes coping with the same issue. The thesis, with the help of Prof. Boullier's work ("La Boussole écodémocrate"), offers a "philosophical" framework of public sector. This contribution is the foundation for future Parma project development. The thesis contains some propositions designed for the Parma project management improvement. It also presents the methodology used in the Parma project (MMABP -- Methodology for Modelling and Analysis of Business Processes), and gives some propositions for its improvement.
Dog racing database design
Schwarzkopf, Dan ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Kaltoun, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with database design of dog racing. It focuses especially on entering dogs for races and sharing the results. Although the database is primarily intended for the purposes of dog racing in the Czech Republic, it should be applicable in any country of continental Europe where dog races are held. Only entities, relationships and attributes are defined in the database. The user tier is omitted (i.e. the database does not contain roles nor users). The thesis starts with theoretical part which describes several methods of information gathering. These methods can be used at vast range of occasions, including database design. In the next part I characterise order and way I used these methods. Then the description of displayed reality follows and at the end there are comments on procedure of creation of the database.
French law juridical institute “fonds de commerce”
Schwarzkopf, Dan ; Švarc, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Grmelová, Nicole (referee)
The thesis deals with French law juridical institute named "fonds de commerce". The thesis aims to describe what "fonds de commerce" is and how it can be disposed of. As there were not any Czech sources describing "fonds de commerce" at large, I had to use mainly French literature. The structure of the thesis is as follows: At first I briefly describe basic characteristics of "fonds de commerce". Then I focus on its elements. And at the end I deal with the possibilities of disposal, namely the sale of "fonds de commerce", company contribution, collateral and its lease. The thesis does not contain any new findings. It just informs about the "fonds de commerce", which has not been described narrowly in Czech yet. However, because of enormous complexity of studied matter and quite limited space I had to omit many details. The thesis thus offers many possibilities for further extensions.
