The influence of compensation exercises on muscle imbalances of amateur football players
STOKLASA, Lukáš
This bachelor thesis deals with problems of muscle imbalance in football players, who has been playing their sport at an amateur level. It deals with the use of compensatory exercises for influencing the muscle imbalance. The first aim of the work is to assess the influence of compensatory exercises on muscle imbalances in individual probands according to obtained data. The second aim is a comparison of compensatory exercises in different age groups. At first, there is a chapter in the theoretical part on football and the most common types of movements, which occur when playing. Chapters on muscle tissue and muscle imbalances follow. Furthermore, there are individual clinical syndromes, as per professor V. Janda, described. The conclusion of the theoretical part consists of different types of compensatory exercises. The practical part is processed in form of qualitative research. The research group consists of five football players of FK Olympie Týn and Vltavou. Two players come under the category of C-juniors, remaining three players play for the A-team. The work contains five case studies consisting of initial and final examination. Each examination consists of taking an anamnesis, standing examination, examination of shortened muscles complemented with trigonometrical examination and examination of movement stereotype. Based on the results from the case studies, an individual exercise unit was formed for each proband. I believe that this bachelor thesis can serve as a source of information for the students of physiotherapy and for non-professional public. It should than be used mainly for players and coaches of performance football.
