Evaluation of different variants of soil loss and runoff characteristics calculations due to climate change
Derda, Ondřej ; Kulihová, Martina (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
The paper compares the differences between the existing and the newly issued methodology on the protection of agricultural soil from erosion. The main differences examined are in the area of runoff characteristics, in the calculation of erosion and in the determination of the related factors R, LS and C. All differences are compared within the cadastral area of Dubenec in the Hradec Králové Region. Runoff characteristics were compared at 5 critical points in the DesQ-MaxQ (24-hour rainfall) and HEC-HMS (6-hour rainfall) programs. It is not certain which variant will be used more in practice. According to the author of the thesis, the current version with 24-hour rains will be more likely due to the simplicity of the process. The results of the erosion comparison have shown that the change in methodology will result in a significant increase in the determined erosion shear, which will affect the amount of erosion control measures needed in the proposed land development. Of the individual factors, the R factor has the greatest influence and increases erosion. The LS and C factors have less influence. In a particular area, the LS factor acts by reducing and the C factor by increasing.

Threats to Chosen Locality by Surface Runoff, Water Erosion, and Surface Water Pollutants
Buršík, Lukáš ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav ; Sobotková, Veronika ; Kulihová, Martina ; Pavlíková, Marcela
This paper aims to provide information about threats to a chosen locality in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, specifically focusing on surface runoff and water erosion. The geographic information system ArcGIS Pro was primarily used for the analysis. This paper also deals with contamination of surface water by pollutants which are produced by an agricultural company in the locality. For this reason, water samples were taken from a stream and subsequently analysed in a chemical laboratory. In terms of soils erosion proneness, it was discovered that most of the area consists of unthreatened soils. Regarding the chemical analysis of surface water, it was found that the results obtained are affected by the season of the sampling (wet or dry) in terms of water volume in the stream.

Study of runoff and erosion conditions in the Ketkovice cadastral area
Buršík, Lukáš ; Uhrová,, Jana (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
This Diploma Thesis is focused on the analysis of the Ketkovice cadastral area in terms of runoff and erosion conditions. The QGIS software was chosen for the analysis. For this reason, instructions for this software are prepared, focusing on runoff and erosion conditions, as an appendix to the Diploma Thesis. Other software programs used are USLE2D and DesQ-MaxQ. The first part deals with the analysis of the area of interest. The second part deals with the problem itself, at first the methods used to determine runoff and erosion conditions are introduced, then anti-erosion measures, at the end of this part the software programs used are briefly described. The last third part is devoted at first to the evaluation of runoff and erosion conditions before the design of the measure, then to the design of the measure itself, finally to the evaluation after the design of the measure. In case of erosion conditions, two variants of calculating long-term soil loss are considered before and after the proposed measures. In the first variant, a constant value of the factor R=40 MJ.ha.cm.h is considered in the Universal Soil Loss Equation and in the second variant this value is increased with respect to the climate change.

Evaluating the effectiveness of complex protection measures in cadastral area Jerlochovice in Husí potok Watershed
Matoušek, Petr ; Sobotková, Veronika (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
A subject of this Thesis is the design of the complex system of measures of soil conservation in given catchment area, which will serve as a concept of complex land consolidation in cadaster Jerlochovice. Based on the analysis and the land survey, a feasible solution was designed using the hydrological and erosive tools of ArcGIS. For the identification of areas endangered by erosion and for the identification of runoff conditions, the Universal Soil Loss Equation of Wischmeier-Smith was used (in grid modification). Based on the calculated values, the suitable technical and agrotechnical measures of soil erosion control were designed. Each component was designed for the values of Qn from the model DesQ. Subsequently the efectivity of the designed measures was evaluated by the comparison of results of erosive and runoff conditions before and after the aplication of the soil and water conservation measures.

Evaluation of erosion and runoff conditions in context with the agroforestry systems design
Vaňousová, Martina ; Skřivanová, Zuzana (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
The diploma thesis generally deals with the emergence of water and wind erosion, its conseque-nces and the possibilities of how to prevent or limit erosion, with various anti-erosion measures. More specifically, it focuses on agroforestry systems (ALS), their origin, importance and appro-priate use in the landscape. To investigate the effects of ALS, an agricultural area near the village of Modřec was selected, on which ALS variants in various variations were designed using compu-ter programs. The main quantity investigated and compared was the average long-term soil loss by water erosion under different variants of the ALS design.
