Rysová, Pavlína ; Šimpach, Ondřej (advisor) ; Šimková, Martina (referee)
Standard of living in a country is given by a situation of the national economy. High life expectancy, low infant mortality or low birthrate is associated with a good standard of living. The objective of this thesis is to analyze relations between demographic and economical time series. The time series are shown graphically and described. A method of correlation analysis is used for reaching the objective. The expectations about dependences between the selected indicators are tested. With the aid of this method, sense, power and direction of the dependence are evaluated. In this thesis there is for example confirmed a direct linear dependence between general government expenditure on health and life expectancy, which is known from the literature. Other expectations are selected randomly and it found a direct linear dependence between real GDP, number of immigrants and emigrants, for instance. This thesis explains the causes and the consequences of the development of some demographic and economical quantities.
