Robotková, I. Labour market flexibility is regarded as one the effective tools in reducing unemployment rate. Diploma thesis deals with use of flexible forms of employment in terms of labour legislation, but also in economic terms. The influence of labour relations flexibility increases the efficiency of labour force utilization by maintaining the principle of flexicurity. At the macroeconomic level attention is aimed to the labour market and outlines the development of employment policy in the European Union. A significant part of this work focus on the description of the unemployment rate and rate of employment, besides the Czech Republic, also in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Netherlands. The output of this thesis is to suggest several recommendations to help improve the current situation on the Czech labour market.
