The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to introduce the trumpeters who have been a part of the Czech Philharmonic from its foundation to the present. It briefly summarises the history of the Philharmonic and also provides biographies of each individual musician/trumpeter alongside with an overview of their instruments.

Primary Music School Jindřich Jindřich Cheb

This diploma thesis deals with the history of the Primary Music School of Jindřich Jindřich in Cheb in the years 1918-1990. Using mainly German written archive sources maps how the school worked between the First World War and the Second World War and also during the Second World War, when the Cheb region became part of the Nazi German. With the information from the chronicles the thesis tries to reconstruct the history of the music school after the Second World War - after the transfer of the German population, the Czech music school was the only music education institute in Cheb, which was later called the Folk Music School of Jindřich Jindřich. The thesis focuses on the operation of this educational organization from various points of view. Apart from the development of the number of students and teachers it pays also attention to the problems (e.g. space, finance, etc.) which they had to deal with in this period of time.
Henri Tomasi, André Jolivet, Eugene Bozza and theirs compositions for trumpet

Master's thesis Henri Tomasi, André Jolivet, Eugene Bozza and their compositions for trumpet, are devoted to three important 20th century musicians. The work in the first chapter deals with the development of the french composition and trumpet school, at the beginning of this century. In addition, is about each of the three personalities in each chapter. There is always a CV with a focus on the contribution to the development of the trumpet repertoire and the analysis of one of the author's compositions.

The bachelor thesis describes some of the most important trumpet players of the turn of 19th and 20th century. The first chapter is devoted to the construction of a trumpet used in this period. This work deals with regions of Russia, Germany and the USA and is focused on trumpet players, who migrated among these countries.
Oskar Böhme and his Concert in E minor, Op. 18 for trumpet

As a main object of my bachelor thesis I choosed problematics of the Oscar Böhme´s Concerto and his forgotten life. I devide my thesis into five chapters, in which I deal with family of Oscar Böhme and with his studies, which is interesting for present generation of trumpetists. In following parts I deal with his composer bequest, less known work, but even with his key compositions. In the fourth chapter I deal with interpretative difficulty of Böhme´s concerto and with a fact, why has been Böhme´s concerto, originally premiered on cornet á pistons, since certain time performed on B trumpet in f minor key. In the last chapter, I deal with frequency of performances of Böhme´s concerto in our time, it means rediscovery of the concerto at nowaday´s generation of trumpetists.
Sto zvířat, legend of the czech Ska,a quarter century on stage

This thesis deals with the twenty-five year history of the band Sto zvířat, which is one of the most significant groups of the post-revolution music scene working successfully even nowadays. The author of this thesis tries to find answers to the question why this band keeps basking in the glory for such a long time. This thesis describes the reasons of founding Sto zvířat, defines the genre of ska, brings the complete biography and discography of the group and tries to present also the other music activities of the current members.
Pavel Větrovec Artist and educator

This bachelor's thesis deals with the course of musical career of a well known pianist, composer, and educator, Pavel Větrovec. The thesis is mainly based on interviews with this significant figure of Czech and Czechoslovak musical scene and the text is accompanied by a rich photographic material. The work records Větrovec's musical development since early childhood to the present when, however, he suppresses his work activities significantly, compared to earlier times. The thesis is divided into six chapters which are presented in a chronological order. Větrovec's first experience in orchestral play was followed by military service and his first employment, namely in Dům kultury in Ústí nad Labem. A substantial career advancement follows, namely his move to Prague and an engagement in the Semafor theatre. After hard beginnings at the Prague musical scene, Pavel Větrovec gains valuable contacts, joins various musical projects, and gradually enters collaboration with a number of Czech musical scene personalities. His educational work at The Prague Conservatoire is remembered as well.

Bachelor thesis Currently the most prominent trumpet artists is dedicated to the main trumpet personalities of the current musical scene across classical music, jazz and orchestral playing. Mainly deals with the biographies, existing achievements and current work of selected players. For each artist are also listed brands and types of trumpets, which they are playing. If it is possible, there are listed types of mouthpieces too. There are also mentioned representatives of old and young generation of trumpet players. Thesis is divided into four chapters. First chapter deals with personalities who make specially solo interpretation of classical music. Second chapter deals with famous jazz trumpet players. Next chapter of this thesis is dedicated to personalities who are famous classical and at the same time jazz players. In the last chapter there are mentioned famous orchestral players.
