A methodology proposal of swimming style crawl based on programmed teaching procedure
RAMBOUSKOVÁ, Veronika
The main task of this bachelor`s final project is to propose a methodology of a course for the front crawl. The course should contain relevant methodological cards, questionnaires of self - control etc., which were coming out from programmatic and creatively oriented lessons. It was using method of scaling, of an experiment and the method of testing. I mainly placed emphasis on the practical part. My goal was to verify the theoretical observations in the profession. Therefore five methodological cards for teaching of students of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Faculty of Education were designed. In this class it was possible to compare four groups of young women in the age of 20 years. All groups had about 16 members. Two groups had a very good technique of swimming. The other two groups were at a worse level. Unfortunately it was not possible to confront two groups at the same level, because many people from one group at the worse level was not able to swim even 20 m by the front crawl. That is why I had to compare a worse group with a better control group. The designed methodological cards were presented during five lessons in the period 22.2. {--} 21.3. 2008. I was showing the cards to the worse group, which had the possibility to see the cards during the whole experiment. The second group did not have this possibility. Besides I made questionnaires of self {--} control, which were filled up by both two groups at the end. In a questionnaire there were ten questions about the technique of the front crawl. The worse group made six mistakes in average. The second {--} better group had ten mistakes altogether. At the end everybody had to swim 20 m by the front crawl and then gained a mark from 1 to 5. The average mark of the first worse group was 2, 7 and 1, 76 in the second better group. The tests, which are shown here, are described in detail in chapters 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
