Burnout Syndrome in the Helping Professions on Assistance in Material Need

This bachelor thesis deals with the burnout syndrome and the risk of its occurrence for workers paying social benefits at the department on assistance in material need. Social reform in 2012 brought significant changes that affected the workers who provide these services. The aim of this thesis is to describe what are the consequences of that change connected with the reform for the workers in their job but also in personal lives of workers distributing social benefits at the department on assistance in material need. In the theoretical part are characterized core areas of surveying problems. These are the specifics of the helping professions with an emphasis on the profession of social worker demands of these professions and burdens associated with their achievement(stress, frustration, conflicts, trauma and crisis) and burnout as a possible consequence of stress, and describe the social assistance system, thus the work at the department on assistance in material need. In the practical part was chosen for the survey research method of semi-structured interview.
