Dramatikon
Ponomarevová, Denisa ; Alster, Darina (referee) ; Hládeková, Katarína (advisor)
The thesis entitled Dramaticon is devoted to the materialization of intimate experiences related to subjective psychological states and emotions. The outcome of this work becomes an installation comprising large-scale drawings on paper, hand-stitched material objects and video, which uses the language of internet communication and digital (visual) forms of user interface as tools to grasp sensitive motifs. The textile objects are formed into a single unit - that is, they form a separate textile construction in the gallery space, inside of which is a mobile device with a video playing (Deflower), and on the outside (surface) of which are motifs of emoticons (internet or online symbolism) and freely interpreted emotionality and bodily experiences.
Demotikons
Ponomarevová, Denisa ; Sýkorová,, Lenka (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis entitled Demotikons is a guide to the hypothetical and personal symbolism of digital space and internet communication. I refer to the well-known system of emoticons (emoji), reaction buttons, and simplified forms or signs found on web browsers, social networks, and the digital interfaces of our electronic devices. I deconstruct their meaning with my own attributes and place them in new forms and relationships. The drawings make micro-references to established "visual codes" in digital space, from email address signs to graphic icons and visual indicators in user interfaces. The output of this project becomes an installation comprising a series of drawings and objects that convey personal interpretations of the intersection of the digital (online) world with the physical (offline) world.
