The possibilities of use of the robotic system da Vinci for treatment of localized prostate tumor
Podzimek, Michal ; Kočárek, Jiří (advisor) ; Kolombo, Ivan (referee)
Cancer of prostate is the most frequent male malignity and also it is the second most common cause of death in Europe and in the USA. There are 2 228 new cases reported in the Czech republic per year. The probability of occurrence of this disease is one to six during whole life. There is a good success in detection of his disease in the early stage due to development of screening methods. In such case the radical prostatectomy is very successful method of treatment. Besides of operation methods like open radical prostatectomy and laparoscopic prostatectomy there is a new operation method using robotic system da Vinci. The aim of this machine is to bring the advantages of the miniinvasive surgery together with keeping intuitive handling like in open surgery. First da Vinci system was bought and installed in the Central military hospital in Prague, Czech republic in 2005. The common knowledge about using this method is very low in both general public and specialists. Nor patients, neither their doctors often know about possibility of surgery using da Vinci system. The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate almost three years of experience of treatment localized prostate tumor using da Vinci system, and to describe its possibilities, benefits and disadvantages. Collection of 255 patients files aged...
Process models of semantic web
Podzimek, Michal ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Dědek, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work is to explore the possibility of using the process models in the world of semantic web and the increase utilization of information from the semantic web. This software aims to add a lot of useful functionality to Trisolda, the infrastructure of the semantic web. It was analyzed that proposing of distributed system based on semantic services technology is an appropriate solution. The collaboration of several services is best described by the word "orchestration" that mean operating of executers by the conductor. BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) language is used for formalization of various processes. The proposed architecture is enlarged by pilot implementation that goal is to examine possible technologies that can be used to the realization. Several BPEL execution engines were tried before ActiveVOS platform was chosen as the most suitable one. The use of this platform is described in this work. The description of applied technologies and the confrontation with other existing projects is also a part of this thesis.
Conference and Workshop Important Dates Manager
Podzimek, Michal ; Žemlička, Michal (advisor) ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee)
The goal of this bachelor work is to make an application that should help the frequenter of congresses, symposiums, conferences and workshops to monitor dates of deadlines and act. User can choose from large volumes of events, which he or she is interested in. He or she can set up in which period of preparing for contribution on event he or she is. A calendar of important deadlines is presented on the basis of this information. The choice is simlified by filters and ordering of events. There is a system of user acounts and user rights and restrictions in aplication. These rights are for limitation of adding and editing events and for setting up a form of application. The simple adding events by parsing of incoming e-mails is also a part of this application.
