Physiotherapy at Patiens after Breast Cancer
POCHOPOVÁ, Jana
The breast cencer is the world's most common cancer among women. It affects about 6 % of them and it is registered approximately 600 thousand new cases of the disease every year. The situation is not so satisfactory as well in the Czech Republic. It has been contained about 6500 new cases a year in recent years and about 2000 women die of this disease. The breast cancer is one of the disease which unfortunately can not be predicted or prevented. Despite this it is a type of cancer which can lead in most cases to cure the patient if it is soon detected. It is used the self-examination method for the soon detection of cancer which women should regularly realize and especially mammography screening. The treatment of breast cancer is linked to the emergence of certain problems that complicate subsequent convalescence of the patient. If it appears there are options how to fight them. It can be also prevented or at least significantly reduced. The issue of breast cancer is still very actual and it is the reason why I chose topic "Patients' physiotherapy after breast cancer treatment." for this bachelor thesis. This work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to cancer, its development and anatomy. It also deals with the issue of breast cancer from etiology of the disease, the influence of risk factors and diagnosis to therapy. It also describes the risk of postoperative complications related to surgical procedure on the breast and removal lymph node and the possibility prevent these problems or fight effectively with appropriate therapy. Practical part of work includes monitoring of postoperative changes on patients with surgical procedure on breast and the therapy description focused on the prevention of formation of complications linked to surgical procedure or removal of already existing problems. The collection of primary data was carried out qualitative way through case studies, it was chosen the methodology of interview, observation (kinesiology analysis) and analysis of personal health documents. The research group consisted of two patients diagnosed with breast cancer who underwent surgical procedure at the Department of Surgery Hospitals Czech Budejovice, a. s. The goal in this work was determined to describe the effect of physiotherapy in the prevention of postoperative problems related to surgical procedure for cancer removal. Together with the aim of work the following research question was determined: What are the contributions of physiotherapy in the prevention of postoperative symptoms in patients with breast cancer? In both patients the therapy managed to achieve a functional and painless movement of the shoulder joint and the upper limbs on the affected side, free mobility in the thoracic region and improved breathing stereotype. There has been a release of abbreviated and strengthening of weak muscle groups. We also managed to release the postoperative scars, while the patients were instructed how to treat them in the future. Contribution physiotherapy is therefore positive. Patients were also educated on the need for regular exercise even after warming up arms and got recommendations for the care of the upper limb, diet, hygiene, sports or doing housework. The results of the research part showed that the implementation of physiotherapy in patients after surgery for breast cancer has a positive effect in the prevention of postoperative complications, thereby has accomplished the goal of the work. Bachelor thesis will be used by physiotherapists for completion of information about the possibilities of rehabilitation after breast cancer treatment and also as educational material for patients and others interested in this issue.
Employment and Its Impact on Health
POCHOPOVÁ, Jana
The diploma thesis called ?Employment and Its Impact on the Health? consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on definition of the basic terms which are related to work and its influence on the health. Then the thesis is engaged in working environment, in occupational load and optimization of conditions of employment. The thesis also deals with social work as a help profession, characterize occupation of social worker and define the terms ?health? and social determinant of health. The practical part includes the evaluation of gained figures and statistical result´s processing. Collecting of primery data was realized by quantitative way, it was chosen the method of questioning, specifically the method of questionnaire. Research agreggate is constituted by social workers from four regions in the Czech Republic (South Bohemian Region, Central Bohemian Region, Vysočina Region and Prague, the Capital City) regardless of age, type of the institution where they are employed and target group they work with. The questionnaires were distributed by electronic way through the Internet or personally by visiting the institution and then they were handed or sent on social workers. On the whole there were 184 questionnaires returned for research, but eight of them couldn´t be used due to incorrect or insufficient completing. Finally there were used 176 questionnaires for result processing. In the diploma thesis there were two targets set. Map the influence of work on the health condition of social workers and find out to which changes of health condition by physical or psychological point at social workers is being gone. Together with the targets there was set following hypothesis: H1: Social workers feel the health problems more by psychological then by physical point. This hypothesis wasn´t on the basis of statistical testing confirmed. From the gained results is possible to come to a conclusion that in spite of the significant psychological difficulty of this profession, the social workers don´t feel psychological problems more than physical problems. The conclusions of the research can´t be generalized because of non-representativeness of research agreggate and region. It is necessary to look at the results with this regard. Statistical testing brought a few interesting findings. For example the link between the target group of clients and evaluation of satisfaction with working conditions, team and general satisfaction with the social worker occupation. The diploma thesis can be used as a insight into issue of the work influence on individual health and then specifically of the influence on social worker occupation to their state of health. Obtained figures can be useful not only for social workers but also for the heads of institutions providing social services. The results of the thesis can create the base or inspiration for other researches which will occupy with this theme.
Informedness of women about suppository uterine cancer
POCHOPOVÁ, Jana
ABSTRACT Informedness of women about suppository uterine cancer Cervical cancer is globally one of the most important female cancers. Annually in total about half million of women fall ill with this disease and over 250 thousand of women dies. The situation in the Czech Republic is also by no means satisfactory - every year 400 deaths are recorded. However, it is a type of cancer which can be quite successfully prevented. This issue is very topical today, therefore I chose as a topic for my bachelor thesis: {\clqq}Awareness of women about cervical cancer{\crqq}. The theoretical part consists of the most important information on this disease, diagnostics, therapies and prevention possibilities. In the practical part I tried to find out a degree of the awareness of this disease at girls and women and a frequency of attendances at the gynecological examinations. The research part was realized by a quantitative way, I chose an interrogation method, a questionnaire technique. Respondents were students from secondary schools in Žďár nad Sázavou and their mothers. The total survey obtained information from 90 girls and 75 mothers. A goal of my thesis was to map an awareness of women about cervical cancer, a partial goal was to find out an interest of women in a vaccination. Both intentions were met. At the beginning three hypotheses were set: 1. An awareness of this disease depends on an age, 2. Women are interested in the vaccination, 3. Women go for regular gynecological examinations. Only last hypothesis was confirmed from the three ones. The thesis and results can be used to improve the awareness of women and girls of this disease and to realize an importance of regular preventive examinations. It also may lead to greater media coverage of other prevention options, such as the vaccination and a healthy lifestyle. Then the practical part of the thesis can serve to schools, which could, based on the obtained data, focus on a better quality in educational activities for their students.
