Pipková, Libuše ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (advisor) ; Hrdlička, Jaroslav (referee)
Presented magisterial thesis "Orthodoxy in Czechoslovakia 1920 - 1942 (Bishops Gorazd and Savvatij)" tries to contribute to enlightment of this rather dark and in ecclesial circles mythologised era of Czech Orthodoxy. It is concerned with the raise and development of Orthodox Church in our land, taking into consideration diversity of involved groups in this process. This is an attempt to map given period of time with a simultaneous insight towards the advancement of founding Orthodox group and another group coming out of the millieu of catholic modernism. This thesis observes the path of both future parts of the Orthodox Church since the fall of the Austrian Empire through a prospecting phase in the Czechoslovak Church and finally to decisive short-time incorporation, followed by the State authority backing the usurpation of the Prague cathedra (of the Prague archbishopric) by bishop Gorazd.
