Modification of laboratory waste water containing lead
Mončeková, Miroslava ; Kábelová, Božena (referee) ; Pilátová, Ivana (advisor)
The Bachelor Thesis deals with the treatment of laboratory waste water containing lead. The thesis examines the lead and its compounds in waste water from an inorganic laboratory and tries to find a suitable way of stating the lead concentration and its follow-up reduction. The advantages and disadvantages of various substances used in precipitation of lead in waste water are considered. In conclusion the thesis emphasizes the economic effectiveness of the treatment of liquid waste into a solid waste.
Manganese and its compounds
Matláková, Jana ; Kábelová, Božena (referee) ; Pilátová, Ivana (advisor)
The focus of the bachelor’s thesis is searching of possible synthesis of selected compounds of the manganese. In the theoretic part are described chemical and physical properties of compounds, these compounds are connected with synthesis of three following compounds of manganese. The optimal procedure of preparation of manganese compounds was found in the experimental part of the bachelor.
Iron and its compounds
Krpoun, Karel ; Kábelová, Božena (referee) ; Pilátová, Ivana (advisor)
The focus of the bachelor’s thesis are possibilities of synthesis of selected compounds of the iron. In theoretic part there are closely described chemical and physical properties of ferric sulfate, ammonium ferric sulfate dodecahydrate, ferric oxide, ferric hydroxide and potassium ferric oxalate. The optimal procedure of preparation of tree follow-up compounds of the iron is devised from the result of experimental section.
Balancing Chemical Equations E-learning Study Materials Processing
Indra, Ivo ; Pilátová, Ivana (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
Production of electronic tutorial material for first-year students mainly. Created study material will enable to solve interactively sample examples of chemical equations using electron balancing and a system of linear equations as well.
Lanthanidocenes and their Precursors Synthesis
Koporecová, Zuzana ; Pilátová, Ivana (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this work is to summarize the issues spectroscopic techniques useful in organometallic and polymer synthesis, including sample preparation and interpretation of the data, with a focus on NMR spectroscopy, vibrational spectroscopy and X-ray structural analysis. Part of the work deals with the characteristics of lanthanides, lantanidocens and synthesis of some lantanidocene compounds. Next are in this thesis prepared special laboratory techniques, working with Schlenk vessels, glove box and a dry bag.
Modification of laboratory waste water containing heavy metals
Krištof, Ondřej ; Kábelová, Božena (referee) ; Pilátová, Ivana (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on problematics of heavy metals such as Cr, Hg, Pb, Co, Cu, Ag, which are present in wastewater from anorganic laboratories. The goal is to compare calculated amount of metals with results obtained by students in practicals and suggest possible ways of clean up of wastewater from listed heavy metals in accordance with economical impact.
Lewis formulas E-learning Study Materials Processing
Nováková, Kristýna ; Pilátová, Ivana (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dedicated on education of Lewis formula by e learning. Study material is created by application Macromedia Flash and is dedicated mainly for students in the first year of Faculty of Chemistry of Brno University of Technology. This material is separated into two parts. In first part are briefly explained problems of Lewis formula at several chapters. Second part is focused on testing of knowledge acquired in first part. As part of a submission, was also to create database of Lewis formula which help students to practice this important chemical problems. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on e-learning as a modern education method. Also, there is briefly mentioned a program Macromedia Flash. And finally, the bachelor thesis serves as a manual for work with a study material.
Molecular modelling – structure and properties of cyclic esters and carbonates
Kubíčková, Eva ; Pilátová, Ivana (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
Molecular modelling enable to predict the behavior and assist to interpret experimental data. The aim of our study was the prediction of selected properties of cyclic esters and prediction of their structures. The visualization of selected molecular orbitals and electrostatic potential-mapped electron density surface was made. Subsequently, bond distances and bond angles of selected cyclic esters were obtained. Factors affecting the ring-opening polymerization of cyclic esters were studied with usage of these data. The thermodynamic factors influencing the ability of polymerization were studied for series of lactones of different ring sizes. Study of these factors helps to estimate the behavior and the ability of these compounds to polymerize.
Inorganic Nomenclature E-learning Study Materials Processing
Zubek, Piotr ; Pilátová, Ivana (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is e-learning and the creation of teaching material Nomenclature of Inorganic Chemistry. The theoretical part is dealing with the definitions of e-learning, its development and modern trends in this dynamic sector of education. The theoretical part contains the current state of Web search in the area of teaching Czech inorganic nomenclature. Is also briefly presented Adobe Flash, which was created educational applications Nomenclature of Inorganic Chemistry. The practical part presents the results of a questionnaire with a sample of 451 students Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology. The thesis also includes analysis of students mistakes. End of the practical part is dedicated to the description of learning material, which is primarily designed as a supplement for teaching the nomenclature of inorganic chemistry at the chemical faculty in Brno.
Adjustment of laboratory wastewater containing chromium
Riša, Juraj ; Vomáčková, Alena (referee) ; Pilátová, Ivana (advisor)
The Bachelor Thesis deals with treatment of laboratory waste water containing chrome. It examines the chrome and its compounds in waste water from inorganic laboratory, trying to concentrate it in the waste water. It uses spectrophotometry with diphenylcarbazide as a method to determine concentration of chromium. To diminish the amount of chromium in waste water, precipitation with barium chloride is used prior to regular pressure filtration. Other part of the Thesis focus on the economic effectiveness of the treatment and its comparison to transport of the waste.
