Study of possibilities of reduction of volume changes and development of hydration temperatures in concrete
Pikna, Ondřej ; Ťažký, Tomáš (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Volume changes are one of the priority characteristics of concrete that plays an important role place mainly in the durability of structures as such. These low volume changes are required especially for structures as: industrial concrete floors, massive structures and waterproof structures. One of the possibilities in reducing these changes is the use of mineral admixtures with suitable grain curve of aggregate. Another possibility is the use of shrinkage reducing admixtures. There can occur problem with efficiency (long term age) with other components of the mixture. Therefore, the effort of this work is to use the avaible processes for maximum reduction of shrinkage and hydration temperatures.
Possible substitutes cement admixture having high content of SiO2
Pikna, Ondřej ; Voves, Jiří (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The modern, contemporarily used high performance concrete make use of active admixtures Theme of bachelor thesis is focused to emphasis optimalization volume of silica fume and cement for lead to possible mechanical and physical properties of concrete. This thesis also evaluates the influence binder components in dried state.
New Possibilities of Determining of Cement Composites to Abrasion Resistance
Pikna, Ondřej ; Hela, Rudolf ; Ťažký, Martin ; Křížová, Klára
The new possibilities of testing of resistance of surfaces of cement composites includes action of fast-water abrasion. Several types of surface damage caused by fast-flowing water are described on different type of structures. The focus is on abrasion of surfaces caused by fast flowing water carrying solid particles. The second part describes an experiment in which cement composites are tested using a new ultrasonic cavitation method, which simulates the abrasive effects of fast flowing water.
Effect of Type of Air-Entraining Admixtures on the Properties of Concrete
Pikna, Ondřej ; Ťažký, Martin ; Hela, Rudolf
One of the elementary factor that must be taken into account when designing concrete is its durability. The exposition, which is significantly connected with the durability of hardened concrete, is also the effect of negative temperatures together with the possibility of combination with salts. The present article tries to clarify and compare the currently used air entraining admixtures for concrete, which aim to improve the properties and especially the durability in the mentioned exposition.
