This thesis deals with the field of DSP (Digital Signal Processing), specifically with structures of digital parametric shelving filters, which can be used as building blocks of parametric equalizer. The objective of this thesis is to learn the options of indirect parametric filter design using decomposition of transfer functions into the function of an all-pass filter and implement these using Steinberg’s VST3 SDK.
Methods for high resulution spectral analysis

This thesis deals with the topic of high resolution spectral analysis. In the first part, selected methods are presented and afterwards compared based on the Matlab implementations. The problematics of reduction of crossterms in quadratic time–frequency distributions is also covered. The second part is focused on the implementation and optimization of the algorithm for real-time computation of smoothed Wigner distribution function.
Smoothed Quadratic Time-Frequency Distributions Using Image Segmentation Techniques

This paper deals with the topic of realization of smoothed quadratic timefrequency distributions. New crossterm reduction method based on image segmentation techniques is proposed and applied on the set of test signals. The results are discussed and compared with existing directional smoothing method.
